The alpha and omega

Chapter 2

Xeraphina woke up before the sun so she could grab her breakfast to take with her before everyone woke up. She has perfected this after doing it for nine years on not getting caught. She heads down the trail and makes it to the clearing before Loki and takes the time to eat her breakfast. About 20 minutes later Loki shows up in his training tunic and daggers sheathed in his belt.

"Ready to get your ass kicked Loki?" Xeraphina says with a smile on her face. "That requires that you actually beat me which you have never done before" Loki says with grabbing his daggers and getting into position.
"I will finally beat you today. Just you watch" She says as she grabs her daggers out.
She rushes Loki blades clashing and sparks flying as they fall into the same dance. Xeraphina does something different this time and focuses on teleporting behind Loki with the intention of gaining the upper hand. As she teleports Loki realizes what she is doing and uses of to his advantage to throw her off. Loki catches her arm as she teleports what she thought was behind him.
"Thought you were being clever" Loki says as he presses his blade against her throat. "You thought you could trick a trickster now didn't you."
"It was worth a try," Xeraphina says and kicks Loki behind the knee causing him to fall one knee and allowing her to grab her arm back.

After hours of clashing blades Xeraphina finally has enough and calls for a break to eat lunch. "Did you bring those fresh rolls I like?" Xeraphina asks. "Of course, I think the kitchen staff is becoming suspicious though. I heard them gossiping that I have a secret lover who I sneak off to see during the day on the weekends. Mother knows what we do every weekend though she just finally said something about it last night when I sneaking back in."

Xeraphina grabs a roll and says "You don't think she'll tell right? That's the last thing I need right now." "Even mother has her secrets from the mighty Allfather. She's just happy to see me happy and have someone to practice using sedir with." Loki then bites into a roll and Xeraphina let's out a sigh and eats her own roll.

After the pause for lunch the duo proceeds to practice using sedir and Loki teaches her what new things her learned that week.

"I think we should stop here for today. You don't need to be sore tomorrow when you need to be on the top of your game." Loki says after seeing that the sun had long set. "Thank you Loki and I see you at the training fields before sunrise right?" "You have my word" With that they part ways and Xeraphina heads home and falls into her nightly routine but adding in sharpening her blades and cleaning her training uniform. She falls into a dream less sleep and the excitement of tomorrow.
