After Jungkook left the hospital room, he walked into an unoccupied lounge and made a call.

"Two things. First, check the hospital's cameras and see who left a gift at the nurses' station. Second, investigate where Lin Eunwoo has been recently, what he's been doing, and anyone that he's been in contact with. Don't leave out any details!"

He only had to issue his order, and there was naturally someone to carry out his bidding.

He ended the call. Thinking of how he let off Lin Eunwoo in the airport, he found it laughably absurd now.

In the past year, Jungkook had questioned why he had let off Lin Eunwoo. He knew better than anyone else that it was best to nip the problem in the bud. He understood very well that he and Lin Eunwoo were the same kind of people. He had finally taken over control of the Jeon family. That hadn't been easy. He had also racked his brains to obtain Ye Lisa. He wouldn't give Lin Eunwoo any opportunities to avail himself to the Jeon's or to Ye Lisa.

As long as he was willing to go through with it, Lin Eunwoo wouldn't stand a chance.

Mother Jeon scolded him, "Lili asked me to look for you. You're already a father, but you're not acting like one. Have you even held the baby once after he was born?"

The little baby was quietly sleeping inside the swaddle bundle. From time to time, he would smack his lips.

Mother Jeon passed the baby to Jungkook. "Here, hold your baby."

There was a flash of panic on Jungkook's face. He quickly accepted the baby.

He could hardly feel any weight in the small bundle. As he carefully supported the baby in his arms, it felt as if his palms were burning from the heat of the swaddled bundle.

Suddenly, the baby woke up and seemed to look at Jungkook with his squinted eyes.

Father and son looked at each other. The sharpness and heartlessness immediately disappeared from Jungkook's eyes. He tenderly looked at this newborn baby. This baby shared the same blood as him. He smiled.

The baby followed his father in smiling too.
