Father Ye had chosen the hotel that Ye Lisa and Jungkook had used for their wedding venue for his 50th birthday banquet. Who knows if this was intentional or just a coincidence? He couldn't book the entire hotel like the Jeon's, but he could afford to book a conference hall and still have money to spare.

Father Ye was dressed in a suit. Mother Ye, who was standing next to him, was dressed elegantly and looked regal. They were in high spirits as they stood in the doorway and welcomed guests.

Father Ye had invited many people to his birthday banquet including well-known people in the business world. These famous guests weren't even Father Ye's acquaintances, but they couldn't turn down his invitation because he was Jungkook's father-in-law.

Since Jungkook would be attending too, they had to give Father Ye face. Besides, they might even have a chance to chat with Jungkook and exchange contact details with him for potential future collaborations.

As the endless stream of people passed through the hall's entrance. Father Ye repeatedly looked at his watch. With furrowed brows, he hastily asked his wife, "Have you called Lilk yet? Where is she and Jungkook?"

"I already called her an hour ago. She said they're on the way here."

"An hour ago, they should be here by now... Mr. Chen." Father Ye abruptly changed faces. Smiling at the approaching guest, he said, "It's my honor that you were able to take time from your busy schedule to attend..."

Mother Ye glanced at her husband before turning around and entering the venue hall to look for someone.

After looking around, she finally found Ye Ji Eun. Her older daughter was warmly chatting with someone in a nook.

It took Mother Ye many days of talking to straighten her older daughter out. The dejected Ye Ji Eun had finally regained her spirit and pulled herself together. When Ye Ji Eun smiled, she looked as beautiful as a flower. It looked as if she had recovered back to her former self.

"Ji Eun, why are you standing here? Mom has been looking for you." Mother Ye turned to look at the woman that Ye Ji Eun had been talking too. The woman was wearing a long red dress. In an instant, she was stunned. "You're..."

Holding the other woman's hand, Ye Ji Eun smiled as she introduced, "Mom, this is my friend, Miss Shen."

Shen Eunha smiled as she stretched her hand out for a handshake. Natural and graceful, she greeted, "Hi aunty, you can just call me Eunha."

Mother Ye reflexively shook Shen Eunha's outstretched hand. After thinking for a long time, she finally smiled and said, "I almost didn't recognize you. Eunha, you look much more beautiful in person."

The Shen's wasn't an ordinary family. With the backing of her family, Shen Eunha took to the the entertainment circle like a fish going back to water. All year around, she appeared on screens of all sizes. Her popularity was high enough that her name would be instantly recognized. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say she was a household name.

And, she was industrious and kept a low-profile. She was very talented in acting and was liked by many directors. She was a friendly person with many friends in the entertainment circle.

Shen Eunha smiled. She didn't put on a show of false humility. Instead, she naturally accepted Mother Ye's praise as if she often heard these words.

"I saw you at the doors when I came in. If Ji Eun  didn't tell me, I would have thought you were Ji Eun's older sister."

Mother Ye covered her mouth and smiled. "A famous star's mouth is also so sweet. Today is Ji Eun's dad's birthday. Since you came, have a good time here. Go help yourself to a drink. I need to talk with Ji Eun. Please excuse us."

Shen Eunha slightly nodded. "Okay, aunty."

Mother Ye brought Ye Ji Eun closer to her side and glanced at Shen Eunha as she walked away.
