Addison's Turning Point

Over the course of the next week, more and more people were talking about the 4Chan post. Some supported it, others didn't, but Addison knew that even though Monster Laws were temporarily not in effect, the local government had the power to enact them at any time, which was clearly a problem they needed to solve.

Ever since Addison had even met Zed, she'd been pleading with her mom to take action on getting rid of any type of monster related regulation. Unfortunately, her mom never listened. Therefore, she has to get people on their side.

Exactly 1 week after the 4Chan post was uploaded, Addison was eating breakfast with her parents before school while the news anchors discussed the story.

"Someone turn that TV off! I can't believe they're still talking about this! Why are they even taking this seriously", her mom yelled.

Addison immediately turned it off.

"Thank you for breakfast, I'm headed to school now!", Addison announced before practically running to school.

When she entered, she spotted her friends standing together and practically sprinted up to them.

"GUYS! GUYS! The news was talking about the post, and my mom knows about it too!"

Everyone looked at Addison.

"Great. The plan is working. Now they just have to get rid of the laws entirely", Willa replied.

"Well- my mom thinks the whole thing is stupid and I don't think she has any ideas of complying".

They all went quiet again until Wyatt broke the silence.

"So, anybody got any spray paint?"

They all laughed.

"Yeah, I actually do. I'll tell you what. We'll watch the local news until midnight, and if they don't make any announcement that the laws are gone, we go out. Sound good?", said Zed.

They nodded in agreement.

At around 12:30 AM, they all headed to Seabrook City Hall. Making sure to be quiet and not look sus, they spray painted The Z-Band Shrek Symbol™ on the front of the building. While Willa was finishing the design, they heard a person yell "HEY! GET OUTTA HERE! STUPID KIDS!"

"Guy's come on, we gotta get out before he sees us", said Zed.

"Yeah. You all run. I'll catch up with you, but I need to finish this first", Willa replied.

She quickly finished spray painting The Shrek™ and added the words "FREEDOM", "LIBERATION", and "WE ARE THE MONSTER ALLIANCE" next to it.

Finally, Willa used her super Werewolf Powers to sprint away and not be seen.

The next day, everyone on the news was talking about graffiti on the City Council building. Addison was feeling more anxious than ever that her mom would find out she was a part of the operation.

Trying to distract herself from the situation, Addison tried the new hair dye that Vincent told her about during their meeting. He said it was from A-Mason, a clothing company that specializes in tailoring directly to one's needs and delivers products to their home. Vincent also told her that the hair dye would work no matter how sturdy her hair was, given that the product was created specifically for dye resistant hair.

'I'm just gonna do little pink streaks. I didn't go on this adventure of accepting myself just to change what makes me unique.'

While Addison waited for the dye to set in, she checked her texts from their new group chat. The most recent text was a link to a News Article that stated "UNKNOWN CRIMINAL VANDALIZES SEABROOK CITY CALL AND CALLS FOR FREEDOM!".

'Good, they know what we want', Addison told herself.

'Maybe being nice to others isn't the way to go about this. If they won't listen to me and my kindness, I think I have to start being violent. It's time to destroy this world. No Mr. Nice Addison.'
