18. dinner

Rose POV

"Why do we have to do this shit?" James shouted

"language" I shout smacking his head and pointing to Noah

"Sorry mom" he mocked

"No but on a serious note why do we have to eat salad for dinner?" Charles complained

"Because you guys ate nothing healthy for this whole week" I reply

"You are mom for only Emma and Noah or for everyone? Because even dad (Roff) and uncle Daniel also do not act like parents like you do" Amanda said glaring at her plate of salad

"Hey!"
"Hey!" both Roff and Daniel shouted offended

"That is why they say a mother and a father are very different," I say kissing Emma and Noah on their heads

"Guys, it's official, Rose is the mom of this group" Charles announced and everyone nodded

"Why did Oscar not come today?" Noah asked

"He is having work pumpkin" I reply

"But didn't you say we should eat dinner only when the whole family is here, Oscar is not here, he is family," Noah said trying to get out of eating salad

"Yes, we should eat as a family, you said that rule Rose," James said

"I agree," Charlie said

"Me nine, I don't know what is going on but I heard counting as soon as I came in so decided to join" Oscar said entering the kitchen trying to take his tie off

Everyone groaned as I smiled

"Why the hell did you come home? Can't you over work today?" Chris shouted throwing an olive at him

"I was planning on doing so but then I realised that baby girl here wants us to dine like a family together so I came" he shrugged and took seat beside me after kissing me on my forehead

"So whats for dinner?" he asked rubbing his hands

"Salad and juice, healthy juice not champagne" I replied smiling and his face dropped

"Ah... I forgot a file at the office I will go get it if you want you can join too Chris...."

"You are not getting up from that chair until your plate is empty Chris and you too Oscar" I glared at them

They gulp and sit down

"Great now let's eat" I say with a huge grin and started to serve others

"Emma are you sure she is not bipolar?" Amanda asked Emma

"I can hear it" I shout and she quickly shoved spinach in her mouth frowning at the taste of it

"Are you both ready for tomorrow?" Daniel asked me and Emma

Emma has a singing contest tomorrow where as I have to meet my 'in-laws' tomorrow

I sigh "I just hope they like me, but I know that Emma will definitely rock it" I say diverting the topic

"Yes, I heard her rehears once and I was sooooo intrigued by her voice that I could marry her," said Charles

"You don't swing my way brother" Emma said emphasizing the word 'brother'

"That hurt" Charles said gripping the left side of his chest

"Your heart is on the other side" Amanda said and Charles immediately shift his hand towards right

"don't listen to her boy, its on your left" Roff said and Charles shift again

"left" "right" "left" "right" everyone on the table started to shout and Charles was shifting his hand from left to right

"The truth is there is nothing called as a brain in every one of you" Noah said making everyone stop and look at him

"How dare you?" Oscar asked in a playful threating tone

"5" Amanda said and every one stood up

"4" Chris said and everyone moved towards Noah I just sat there confused

"3" Emma said and they were now glaring at Noah with smirks

"2" Noah looks scared and tried to get out of his high chair

"1" Roff said and they lift their hands up in the air

"now" everyone said at one and pounce on Noah taking him out of his highchair and started to tickle him

"STOP, MAMA HELP ME" he shouts I was about to grab him when Emma and Amanda glared at me to stop

"First tell me that we all have super well brains" James said tickling him

"NE- HAHA, NEVER" he replied laughing

"Say it" Daniel said tickling his tiny little feet

"ONLY MAMA HAS BRAIN" he shouted and I immediately pick him up, so quickly that they froze for a second to realise that I saved him

"That was awesome mama" Noah said bouncing in my arms

I kissed his nose and put him down and said "nice try but you are not getting out of eating salad" and everyone sighed

"Aww, at least it was worth a try" Chris said and we began to eat

"So, who is getting me ready for my big day?" Emma asked and Amanda and Charles immediately told "me"

"Then what about my other daughter?" asked Daniel and I shook my head "I don't need any help; you know I am not that into makeup type" I said

"But don't you want to look beautiful for meeting your in laws?" he asked trying to convince me but I shook my head no
