Next morning
You wake up feeling sick.... Like always
You run to the bathroom and throw up, you walk out the bathroom seeing Rob drinking his coffee. You had completely forgotten he was back and alive.
"Good morning, everything all right ?" He asks
"Yeah you know mornings sickness" you say
"I'm sorry" he says "I made your something" he hands you a banana smoothie
"Mhmm" you say disgusted
"Everything alright ?" He asks
"Yeah I just don't really like bananas. You know that" You say to him
"Oh right. I'm very exited to meet everyone" he changes subject "dose Nick fury still work ?" He asks
You laugh "since when did you start calling him Nick fury ?" You say
"Oh you know I just thought he hated the other name I called him" He says
"Fury ?" You say confused "the only reason you didn't call him Nick fury was because your fathers name was Nick" you say
Something is really off
"Oh yeah my father who.." he waited for you to finish the sentence
"Your father that left you" you say
"Right" Rob says. "We should get going" he says
You and Rob get ready then head to the lab.
You also had a meeting today with everyone that went with you on the mission, so it was perfect to introduce Rob to everyone.
You walk in the meeting room "hey everyone look who's back" you say as Rob walks in the room
"No way !" Agent smith says walking over to his good buddy hugging him.
Agent brown just rolled his eyes and said "you son of a bitch your still alive"
"boys calm down" Nick fury says. He walks up to Rob "good to see you son, I'm happy that your alive" he pulls Rob in for a hug.
You smile then look over at Steve who stood there
"Hey Steve !" You get his attention.
Steve looks at you
You walk up to him and give him a hug
"So Rob is actually alive" Steve says
"Yeah can you believe it, I'm so happy" you say. Steve noticed something was off but didn't say anything.
"Yeah I'm happy for you" he says
"Now all we need to do is get you a girl. What are you into blond ?" You ask
"Oh you know me, I'm not really looking for a girl right now" he says
"Why ? too shy or too scared ?" You ask with a light smirk
"To busy" he bends down and whispers in your ear.
You rolls your eyes and shake your head as everyone sits down and starts the meeting about what to do with all the kids you guys saved and some other stuff.
Right before the meeting ended Rob stood up and said "if you all don't mind it like to discuss something" He says very professional
"Hey we do mind !" David yells
"Shut it" Rob says to him "if you all know I was on a mission eight months ago and i made it back safe doesn't mean everyone did. My team is still back there few of them being hold hostage. I need are men to volunteer and go back and save them all I need is your help Steven Rogers" He says
"Why just Steve ?" You ask Rob
"Because this is something us men should handle" he says looking over at Steve with light fear in his eyes
What the fucks wrong with him ?
"If Steve going I'm going" you say crossing your arms
"Y/n you can't come, your carrying our child" Rob says
"Wait Robs the one who knocked you up ?" Agent Brown asks you.
"Yeah, who else would it be ?" Rob asks annoyed
"The Captain" agent brown said.
Rob angrily laughs looking over at Steve
You noticed a wired tension between them both.
"So we have three people that volunteer to go with you Rob" Nick fury says wanting to end this meeting.
"No Y/n is not coming with us on this mission" Rob says again
"Well that's not up to you" Steve says "I went with her on a mission and she is fully capable of taking care of her self and the child" Steve fights for you
"Well it's not like your the father" Rob says getting face to face with Steve.
Steve was much taller and bigger then Rob.
It looked like Steve was going to say something back but he didn't "yeah your right man, I'm sorry. I just think you should let Y/n decide" Steve says walking away
He gives you a cold look then walks out the room.
You and Rob in the car
"What's the problem with that Steve guy ?" Rob asks you
"What do you mean ?"
"I just get the feeling he doesn't like Me" Rob admits
"No he like that to everyone. You'll get used to it" you just laugh brushing it off. "I was wondering if you wanted to go baby shopping" you say
"Um well actually I have to go trough a lot a files" Rob says, it's like he's trying to ignore you
You guys get home.
You stand in the door frame looking inside the nursery as it was all done.
Rob comes behind you.
"Can we talk" you say as Rob is sitting on the couch
"yeah sure" he says keeping his eyes down on his phone
"You know Steve was right about one thing I'm fully capable of taking care of myself and the baby, I know I said that I wouldn't go on anymore missions but that was before you came back. Whatever you say I'm going" you tell him
"But I need Steve help not yours" he says.
You knew he was overprotective but it's like he just doesn't want you around.
"I'm coming !" You yell at him. You didn't mean to yell it it's just all the hormones.
"Okay then" Rob say annoyed "I'm going to go out for a minute" he says
"Why ?" You ask
"Uhh I- need to smoke" he says
"since when did you start smoking ?" You ask
"I don't I just wanted..... I'll be back" he says kissing your cheek.
You just stand there
