"First of all, why are you in the girls' dormitory?" I asked before Dahlia could ask.

"I was handling some business," Liam replied as he stood up and looked at Maddison. The two of them were staring daggers at each other for a moment.

"It's well past curfew," Liam told her, "Surely you're aware of that."

Maddison crossed her arms. "Then why aren't you in bed?"

"I knew you were up to no good," Liam continued, "Ms. Wynter also asked me to keep an eye on you. Actually, at Aria and Dahlia."

Oh no.

Right, I'm off to detention.

"Then you know what we were up to?" Maddison asked.

"I don't," Liam replied, "and I'd love to know."

"Show him," Maddison nodded at me.

Show what?

Oh.

OH.

I held out the Capricornus Piece for Liam to see and-

"Why in all of Storia would you-" Liam took a deep breath. "Why?"

"ATEO is too complicated. If we don't act sooner, Callidus would be put together," Maddison took the Capricornus Piece from my hands.

"But you could've reported it to the authorities," Liam told her.

"The authorities would take far too much time. And Shew wouldn't be prepared," Maddison said as she walked to her room.

"Wait," Liam looked back at Dahlia, "Did you hack-"

Liam threw his hands up.

"You're not gonna report this to Ms. Wynter, right?" I asked, which, on second thought, might be a bad idea to remind him of that.

"Of course I am," Liam sighed, "Sorry, Dahlia."

Dahlia looked hurt.

Oh, I'm sorry, uh, I meant she looked angry.

Yeah, angry and hurt.

Imma...

Quickly back away now...

Liam, I wish you the best of luck!

I quickly shut the door to my room and changed into pajamas. Luckily, I couldn't hear any shouting outside. I mean, I'm hoping that they weren't shouting cause someone else could hear them, but like if these walls were soundproof, uh...

I mean it's a good thing that they're soundproof.

Yeah, be patient with me, Dahlia is scary when she's angry.

Especially at Liam.

It's like they're a married couple already.

A moment later, Dahlia came into the room, her expression darker than before.

"You good?" I asked weakly.

Dahlia smiled sadistically at me.

Yes, sadistically.

"I managed to convince that bastard to keep his mouth shut or bear the consequences with us," Dahlia replied.

"Wait, how-"

"He's not allowed to break the rules either," Dahlia took her clothes to change, "and you wanna know something?"

"Duh?"
