"Hey, are you ok?" Carol asked sweetly
"I- yeah I guess i'm fine" Sophia looked down "You miss your parents"
"Yeah" "It's ok Kid, we're gonna get everyone back ok?"
Sophia nodded but still looked down "Look at me"
"I promise I'll do everything I can to make this situation right, ok?"
"Thank you Carol" Sophia smiled softly

Sophia's book started to glow once again as the text changed
Don't tell anyone, it's between you and me
Sophia looked confused. Am I going mad? Why is my book talking to me?
She quickly closed it and walked down the stairs
"Oh there you are" Laura said "Lunch is ready"
"Oh thank you auntie Laura but i'm not hungry" "Are you sure?"
"Yeah i'm gonna go get some air"
Sophia walked outside before Laura could say anything
Her book glowed red again and she opened it

Sophia looked confused "Hey" Sophia quickly closed her book and turned to look at Ivy.
"Hey" "Is everything ok? you seem...off"
"Yeah, i'm ok just not hungry" "Come on Soph you never say no to food"
Sophia wanted to tell her but then she remembered what was written in her book

"Really Ivy i'm fine I promise" "Okay..."
"Do you mind if I keep you company?" "Sure you can stay"
"Thanks"
The tension between the two was thick. You could see it if you were standing next to them.
"Sophia I-" "Please don't" "Please don't what?"
"Please don't start to apologize to me right now" "I-"
"Listen Ivy, I need some more time, some space, I can't think about what happened if you are here to remind me how sorry you are every second"
"I'm sorry" Sophia could see the tears threatening to slip from Ivy's eyes
but her mind was elsewhere.
"I will leave you alone" she said barely over a whisper and got up to walk back inside.
Sophia's mind couldn't stop thinking about the fact that Carol could be showing up any second.
She felt bad for paging her for nothing, but maybe it wasn't for nothing?
