"That's impossible for your grandmother. Maybe in the next six to ten years time when she starts using a walking stick and her vision has begun to blur, she might stop. For now, let her enjoy her life o." Demilade laughed. But he knew she was right.
Until age comes knocking on the door, his grandmother will not stop traveling. It had always been his grandmother's dream since she was a young girl. Going to explore the world with the man she love was her greatest dream. But it was unfortunate that she didn't get to marry a rich man and her dreams weren't able to come true at an early age. Poverty had been one of the constraints

Uche stood in front of her boss awaiting the document he wants to sign. When he was done, he handed the file to her.
"Sir, your mom texted you." She said as she received the file.
He replied. "What did it say?" He kept doing what he was doing on his desktop.
"She said that you should call her when you're less busy." He paused then continued with what he was doing.
"Okay. I will do that before the next meeting. I also need the report for a shipment coming in this week. Tell the marketing department to submit the report I asked for before I leave this office. And also tell Dayo to speak with the pilot that we are leaving for Abuja by 2 pm. We might have to stay till tomorrow. We got an emergency over there. You don't mind do you?"
"Of course not."
"Okay. Thanks."
She nodded and went away. He picked up his phone shortly after his secretary left his presence. He leaned back on his seat while he turn off airplane mode. Several messages came in when the network was stable. One came from Lola.
He opened it and it was a voice message and a song. He tugged his ear pod into his ear and listened to the voice note she sent then played the song as he leaned back on his seat to listen to it.
He listened with keen interest to the lyrics of the song. Then a smile curved his face at every line that seem so cool to him. When he finished listening to the song, he added it to his playlist and sent her another song 'The Simple Things', and a short text.
It was something they recently started doing. He sent a song when he missed her or when he have something to tell her whenever he was busy to call and talk with her. And she had also grown used to it and she does the same.
He started opening his other emails when his mother's call came in. He ended the call and dialed her number back. She picked on the first ring.
"Good morning Mom." He greeted.
"Good morning, how is work going?"
"Good ma."
"I don't want to waste much of your time because I know you're busy. Someone wants to see you." She told him.
He furrowed his brow slightly, then asked. "Whoever it is can just come to the office."
"Yes, I know but I don't think you will entertain his visit."
"And who is it, Mom?"
"Jerry...Lawrence son. Your half-brother. He wants to see you. I want you to let him in and listen to whatever he has to say."
"I don't mean to be a rude mom but why should I do that? Have got better things to do with my time." Demilade answered his mother with a wave of controlled anger.
"Demilade... Just do as I say. Fifteen to twenty minutes of your time won't hurt you. Just hear what he has to say. He must have a reason why he wants to see you." Mrs. Jolaoluwa said on the phone. Demilade was quiet as he thinks about his reply. "Please, Ade. Do it for me. Please."
