"Oh!" The two girls turned to Daniel with a broad smiles on them and they said at the same time. "Happy birthday brother Dan."

"Thank you, Tife and Tito." He said rubbing the back of his neck. And the girls nodded.

"So, Daniel is going to tell us where he will love to go celebrate his birthday and we will go do just that. To celebrate his birthday. And the bill is on me." Lola said to everyone.

"Sis, what does that mean?" Tife asked, curiously.

"It means she is paying for everything," Daniel replied them. They just smiled without saying anything.

"You're still serious about that?" Demilade asked Lola.

"Of course. Damn, serious. Do you think I was joking? I wasn't."

"Great then. Have it your way." He gives up. She smirked and nodded.

Demilade entered his room. He glanced at Lola sitting on the bed already dressed in her Sunday wear for church. She was on the phone with someone. She waved at him to acknowledge his presence in the room. He nodded and walked toward the bathroom to take a shower. He stood still when he heard what Lola said to her caller. He assumed he was hearing things and he dismissed it and walked away.

When he got back from the bathroom. He quickly dressed into his attire since the others were waiting for him. Lola was still having a serious conversation with whoever she was talking to. And shortly after, she ended the call. Then he paused and looked at her when she said her last words to the person on the phone.

She was still looking at her phone, oblivious to the fact that he was staring at her with a furrowed brow.

"Darling, are you done?" She asked, looking up from her phone.

"Almost." He said as he picked up the gold wristwatch at the edge of the bed, looking away from her. He walked over to the tall standing mirror and looked himself up at the mirror.

"You look awesome." Lola's voice woke him from his thoughts. He smiled before turning in her direction. "

"Thanks Love. You're looking great. C'mon let's go, your siblings are waiting." She nodded with a grin. "But Lola, I have something I want to discuss with you when we get back."

"Is it serious?" Lola asked sincerely concerned.

"No." He shook his head. "No, it's not."

"Alright then." She said and they both walked out of the room.

"I couldn't help but overhear your conversation on the phone this morning. You were talking to someone that you called Mom. Has your dad got a new wife or..." He shrugged.

Lola looked at him before answering. "Not that I have heard of. But if that were the case, I don't think I will jump to start calling my father's new girlfriend or woman's mom immediately. It's actually my own mother. I'm sorry I didn't tell you."

"You're good with her now?" Demilade asked curiously. Lola nodded her head. "Since when?"

"It's been months now. Sometime after our first fight." She looked at Demilade face but his face was impassive. So she continued. "I didn't tell you about it because I know it will trigger your father's memory as well. And it actually was the reason why we had our first major fight and I don't want that to happen again. I made a promise to you not to talk about your father again and I intend to keep it. That's why I kept it from you."
