"Of course. If I don't disturb you, who will I disturb?" She rolled her eyes.

"Well, fortunately, this year, I am very glad that you are alive and healthy unlike last year and the year before. So thank God for that. And because of that, we've got to celebrate it a little. I owe everyone an outing and the bill is on me." She said proudly with a grin.

"That's great," Demilade remarked and Daniel laughed as they turned their direction on Demilade. He shrugged innocently when Lola quirk a brow at him. "I said it is great. I anticipate it. My girlfriend is paying for our outing. Isn't it awesome, Dan?"

"Of course, it is. Very." Daniel replied.

"You two can make jest of me all you want, but I'm gonna surprise you. I am gonna show you my woman's power." She said confidently demonstrating with her hands.

Demilade smirked and Daniel just laughed at his sister's drama.

"I'm anticipating it, Love."

"Me too," Daniel added.

"Okay then. But it is until then before I give you your birthday gift." Lola said to her brother.

He grimaced, pretending to be hurt.

"Why sis? You're supposed to give me now." He whined. "You have not bought me a gift in a long time."

"Well, because you doubt me, your gift is coming late. So anticipate it too." She said with a smirk.

Daniel rolled her eyes at her and smiled and didn't bother to argue further with his sister. He knew she would change her mind before then. And he wasn't in a hurry to receive his gift although he was anxious to know what his sister got for him.

"Hmm. Speaking of gifts. I have something prepared for you." Demilade said standing to his heel. Daniel exchanged a glance with his sister. She was surprised as he was. She probably didn't expect her boyfriend to get something for her brother nor did he tell her anything of the sort.

To be frank, aside from the day she mentioned it before the vacation, they hadn't talked about Daniel's birthday again. But Demilade had prepared a gift for her brother and also remembered the day.

It was so amazing of him.

The fact that he always remembers those little important things in her life that she thought were meaningless to him, was beyond incredible. It just makes her fall more in love with him.

Lola stood and watched as her boyfriend walked over to the large polished wooden settee underneath the huge television. He tapped something underneath one of the drawers. It wasn't so surprising to Lola, since she had learned that one of the drawers has a keypad installed in it and it requires his password before it can open unlike the others that all you need to do is pull and it will slide open.

Demilade brought a middle size box wrapped in black and gold wrapper and he went over to Daniel who was still staring at him with his eyes full of curiosity.

"Here, that's for you. Your birthday present from me." He said and the boy peered up at him. He urged him to take it. He looked at his sister who was just staring at him with a small smile and she nodded slightly. He turned back to Demilade hand and took the box from him.

"Thank you. Thank you." He repeated two more times after taking the box from Demilade. Demilade just replied with a nod and he went back to his seat. Lola walked over to his side and sit beside him.

"You can open your present if you want to. You don't mind, do you?" Lola asked her boyfriend.

Lola knew her brother was craving to know what was inside that box. She could tell by how he stared at the box and back in her direction. One of his role models was giving him a gift for the first time and he will want to find out what was in the box.
