Moreover, she met a friend. Him. She had dated guys but there is a way that he treats her that was totally different than how she had been treated. He was almost as caring as Chris, her ex but he was different. He treated her with care like a brother will do to his younger sister and more. He has the perfect words to make her smile.

That is why even if Lola had warned her to be careful around him, she still can't help that he was better than how they picture him. He might be a popular fuck boy or playboy. But there is a vulnerable side inside him and he showed her that side during the short vacation.

In short, it was memorable with him.

"I'm very glad that you have fun." He said with a small smile. She nodded. There was silence for a while and she smiled at him.

"Do you want to ask me something I know you, you are not the kind who is always quiet. Is something wrong?" She asked with a reassuring smile.

He chuckled and then bit his bottom lip.

"Yeah. You're quite right." He said and he paused before he looked at her face. She was staring at him, a small smile plastered on her face. He looked away, fiddling with his beard before looking back at her.

Ada knew he have something to say. But she don't know why he wasn't saying what he have in mind. He wasn't the quiet type. Not a bit. And his tongue-tied mood is what she doesn't understand.

"Reed!" She called his name. "Are you going to talk or I come down? We've been sitting here for a while now. You don't want the people in my street to start getting suspicious, do you?" She asked. He just shrugged. She knew he doesn't care about it. The guy isn't the shy one. "Should I just get down?" She asked. And he frowned, shaking his head.

He looked to his right side to look at the old gate with the cracked, faded old fence. Then back at her.

"Are we still friends... I mean do I still get to call or see you?" He asked anxiously. He has never been so unsure and nervous about seeing a woman or asking her out. It was like he was stepping on ice with Ada and he doesn't understand why he felt that way.

Ada smiled. "Of course. I've been waiting for you to ask. I will like that too."

Fareed breathed out in relief and he grinned.

"Wow." He breathed out and Ada chuckled. He turned to her, smiling like a Cheshire cat.

Ada leaned closer and kissed him on the lips, surprising him. He recovered from his shock and kiss her back. It was the second time they will kiss. The first was at a club two days before they left the state but it was due to intoxication by alcohol.

She broke the kiss and pulled away. A dumbstruck smile mirrored their faces.

"You can call me anytime Reed. I don't mind. I'll be expecting your call. My family is waiting." She told him. Then she opened the car and climbed out of it.

He winked at her and she giggled before going to the back seat to take her bags. She waved him goodbye and turn around to the front of the house entering the gate which was ajar.

Demilade entered the living room to see Lola's brother Daniel watching a movie on the large television.

He had insisted that Lola's siblings visit him and stay for the weekend when he had taken Lola home after his driver came to pick him up at the office. Her father and the twins insisted that he stayed to have dinner with them before they left. The offer was surprising at first but he did wait.
