As I approached my gate I realized my mom would never let me go out on a school night. "Oh shiz!!!! " I screamed loud enough for the whole world to hear.

My mom came out of the house running with a first aid kit, being the overprotective mother she is, "Oh no my poor baby Arianna, are you okay? "

"Yes mom I'm fine and if I wasn't, I could've taken care of myself." The words came out a little harsher than I had expected.

My mom's face went from frightened to disgust. "You cannot speak to your mother like that. Who taught you these manners?"

"Maybe I would freaking have manners if you were around more!" I screamed back in protest.

My mother works at a strip club downtown. But don't worry she isn't the stripper she's the one who goes around selling her body. I can distinctly remember all the times she came home saying she was pregnant. Taking all my college fund to pay for her abortions. She doesn't want me to end up like her, she wants me to go to college and become an architect, that's right architect. I'm pretty good at drawing so I guess I could design some houses.

Although I really really really love to sing. I know being an artist would be out of the reach of a 20 year old girl. Your all probably wandering why a 20 year girl lives with her mother? It's because my mom uses all my college funds for her abortions so I have no money to buy a house or at least an apartment.

I walked inside ignoring my mom's death stare and instantly took up my phone to text Chris.

Hey Chris I don't want to seem eager but can we plz meet at the park ASAP

No problem love

I took out my dad's sweatshirt I still have since the day he died and slid it over my tank top. I don't fancy makeup but you've got to look good for Chris .

I ran out of the house, thankful my mother wasn't there, and walked to the park.
