Chapter 23: Broken Resolve

Start from the beginning

It's about time someone put her in her place, don't you think? The echoey voice that no longer echoed in my mind, spoke up.

I scoffed and replied to her. Oh, you don't have to tell me twice.

"Okay... So since you want to be a whore, I'm gonna treat you like a whore." I said. Carmen gasped in offense. She was going to throw out another insult, but I didn't give her the chance.

"You are a disgusting, nasty, dirty, rotten little bitch. Do you not have any respect for your future Luna? Honestly... What goes through your mind when you do shit like this?! Do you have any idea what Sage and his mate have been through for you to come in here and try to fuck that up?!" Carmen's jaw dropped.

"Are you that much of a power-hungry whore that you need to throw yourself at every man with some type of authority?! Seriously, Carmen, you need a reality check. You also need an STD test."

The crowd, including Sage and the Spartans, who tried their hardest to hide or hold in their laughter, laughed and snickered.

"I'm pretty sure you know this as well, considering you've fucked almost every guy at Mountain-Hills. The pack doctor gives all tests from Chlamydia to HIV and AIDS. You should really get yourself checked out, love." I smiled sweetly.

All the guys that had sex with Carmen stopped laughing and ran to the exit. They were probably rushing to the pack doctor to get tested. If they had sex with Carmen, they'd need it, and fast. Not that we could contract STDs, but it was still wise to be safe. And Carmen clearly wasn't.

"Now leave, and don't you ever put your grimy ass hands on my Alpha like that again. Because if you do, I will personally take pleasure in whooping that ass. Okay?!" I finished with another sickening sweet smile. My eyes glowed lavender, and my canines elongated ever so slightly, which was all I could do since I hadn't shifted yet, but it was enough to spark fear into the twits before me.

The twins and Carmen flushed with fear and rushed towards the exit and out the door. Not before sending me the ultimate death glare that spoke of her possible revenge, but I chose not to care or sweat it right now. I was too pissed to, honestly.

My blood was still boiling as I watched the double doors close after the LPP. Not even taking deep breaths could help my rage.

I angrily stomped the rest of the way to my locker and threw the books that I had with me inside it. I took out the items that I needed for my homework and forcefully shoved them into my bag that Sage was holding. I slammed the locker shut and started walking towards the exit.

When we were in a more vacant part of the hallway, Sage put his hand on my waist to calm me down, and all my sense of resolve went out the window.

I saw an empty room up ahead and linked Spencer and Tracy. Meet us at the car. And that isn't a suggestion, it's an order. I growled through the link. I couldn't see it, but I felt their nod of obedience.

As we passed the room, I grabbed Sage's arm and pulled him into the dark classroom. I closed the door, locked it, and pulled down the white sheet to cover the window. I could hear Spencer and Tracy's shoes as they continued walking towards the exit and eventually the SUV.

Sage was taken aback by my sudden actions. "What's going on, Oliv- '' I cut him off, smashing my lips into his in a heated, ravenous kiss.

Sage groaned and dropped my bag to wrap his arm around my waist and cupped my cheek with his other hand. We kissed with fever; our lips and teeth clashed together as we ravished each other's mouths, and we didn't mind it one bit. Our everlasting need for each other took over.
