Chapter 37: Jumping the broom part 2

2 months later
(August's POV)
I woke up and hopped outta bed today was the day I was gonna ask Nicki to marry me, and I'm not gonna lie I was hella nervous. I have it all planned out I'm gonna fly us to Rome tonight, then once we get settled in we're gonna have a candlelight dinner but what she doesn't know is all our family and friends are already there waiting for us. Since Nicki was at the studio I started packing our bags once the bags were packed I called Tina to make sure everything was set.
(Phone Convo)
" Yes Daddy" Tina answered
" Hey Baby girl I just wanted to see how everything was going" I said trying to keep my cool
" Everything is fine, Adaani and I have everything under control" Tina said
"Ight let me talk to your sister" I said running my fingers through my hair
"Daddy will you relax" Adaani said chuckling
"Well excuse me if I'm a little on edge, I'm about to take a serious step" I said taking a deep breathe
"Daddy relax everything will be fine, the only thing you need to worry about is getting mom down here Tina, and I will take care of the rest"
"ight baby girl We'll see y'all soon " I said taking a, sigh of relief.

(Nicki's POV)
I was in the middle of laying down my new track when my phone buzzed with an incoming call from August.
(Phone Convo)
"What's up baby" I said blushing
"chilling at the crib waiting for you, you done yet? August asked whining
"Almost why are you OK?" I asked
"I'm fine I just miss my baby7"
"Aww I miss you too baby, why don't you go spend time with the girls until I get home"
"I can't the girls, ditched me to go hang with their boyfriends, besides we haven't had the house to ourselves in forever" by the tone on his voice I could tell he had a smirk on his face
"August you are so bad" I said, bitting my lip
"I may be bad but you know you love it"
"Well I can't deny that I love you" I said smiling
"If you really love me you'll come home" he, said
"I can't leave now I'm working the label wants this track done in two weeks, and I can't put it off or they'll push my album release date back even further than it already is" I said starting to stress
"I have a surprise for you" August said
"I'll tell you what let me lay down this last verse, and after that I'm all yours" I said wondering what August had up his sleeve this time

After my phone call I put my headphones on and started recording again, as much as, I tried to focus I just couldn't I kept thinking about August and this, surprise he had for me, I tried and, tried not to think about it but my curiosity was growing stronger with each passing second. After about two hours of trying to work and not making any progress I decided to call it a day and head home to my baby. It's like that old saying curiosity killed the cat, with that thought in my mind I grabbed my stuff, locked the studio door, jumping in my car heading home.
