Too good to be true (Gin x reader) rewritten

This all was stressing you out too much so you didn't realise that you're almost yelling at her. All you wanted was to lower a possibility of her figuring your true feelings at any cost. Or almost any cost, this definnitely wasn't what you wanted.

,,I only wanted to make sure you're alright, but if you hate me for caring about you so much
..." She got out of your car and quickly walked away, still without any footsteps being heard. This truly wasn't what you wanted. You wanted to stop her. You wanted to call her name and explain everything, but when you opened your mouth, all that got out of it was air.

When you realised what you just did, she was gone already. She left so quickly and quietly so you almost felt like she wasn't even there. As if she was just a ghost or a dream of yours.

When you came to Mori's office, you felt kind of relieved that you didn't see him dressing Elise chan, it always was an awkward moment when you came in in the wrong time. ,,(Y/N)" he greeted you. ,,Gin was already here and gave me everything I needed. You can go home." And so you did.

The way was so long and silent. It was't the pleasant calm silence, this seemed more like the calm before a storm. It was so uncomfortable so you felt relieved when you finally stopped in front of your house. But not for too long - just the moment you looked at your house properly, you saw a dark figure there, standing pressed against a wall.

,,(Y/N)" he said your name with his deep cold voice and that was the moment, when you realised who it is, even when you didn't see his face yet. What is he doing here?

,,Do you need something?" You looked at obviously angry Akutagawa. The two of you only talked when it was something related to your job - and even that happened very rarely - but since you never really fought or argued, you still was one of the people from the mafia that were getting allong with him the best.

But now it didn't seem that way at all. Without giving you a single second to predict whatever he's gonna do, he pushed you against a wall of your own house. His eyes were looking right through yours, as if he was looking at your soul, trying to find the black stain of your sins. ,,Like 30 minutes ago I saw Gin.What have you done to her?" He said with his cold voice, kiping calm - which actually made it look way more scary that if he yelled at you. All you were able to get out of yourself was ,,what-"

He looked like a bomb that may explode whenever you expect it the least. ,,My sister was crying. She didn't tell me what happened but I'm certain it has something to do with you" You felt like the anger in his voice is raising, but at that moment it wasn't what bothered you the most. Hearing the words Gin and crying in one sentence wake some mix of surprise and sadness up inside of you.

,,We just were on a mission. That's all." You said, trying to soumd as sure and confident as possible, but of course you remembered the little fight you two had.

You saw, as he activated Rashoumon. ,,Stop lying!" It was coming for you. You didn't have the time to react properly, it could have killed you but it stopped right in front of your head. If it came 2 inches closer, it would have smashed your head already.

,,She may be an assasin, a seemingly merciless killer, she may seem as a monster to some people, but I thought you know her enough to realise that she too is just a human. She has a heart and she has feelings." He said in a low quiet voice that was similar to his sister's, only deeper. ,,And if you won't stop hurting them I'll kill you."

You just looked at him, clearly confused. ,,(Y/N) are you an idiot? Don't you see how muvh she cares about you? I know her more than anybody and I know that when somebody is this precious to her, every word can cause wound so you better watch what you say because if I'll see her suffer because of you being mean to her once again, I'm going to kill you!"

He made his ability disappear and turned around, walking away. He only stopped with his ,,Take this as my last warning", then he left.

Standing there, you barely understood what's going on.

Are you really this precious to  her?

Did you really hurt her like this?

Did Akytagawa mean that she likes you?

No way.

That's too good to be true.

But when you think of it, you maybe really sounded a bit too mean today.

When you think of it, you always sound angry when you're stressed.

Does she think you hate her now?

You need to apologise.

And now you decided.

Tomorrow you'll confess.

No matter how it ends, if Akutagawa didn't lie to you, she must really care about you a lot.

Then she probably won't push you away for loving her even if she doesn't feel the same.

So it can't be that bad after all.

Also she'll figure it out one day eventually.

Ok here u go, u got a rewritten (and much better) version of this. And since some of you wanted this to have a second chapter, I should probably kick my lazy ass to write it xD.
