To the left behind (Higuchi x reader)

Port mafia was going to celebrate a victory over one of these very strong organisations. The celebration was a pretty rare and prestige thing, you couldn't afford not to come. But there was one thing about that that really sucked. It was some sort of tradition to come in a couple. And here it was where the problem started. You had a crush in Port mafia. But they hated you and sent you anywhere the moment you came with that idea. How could you fall for such a careless person?

You started overthinking things once again and your heart felt like it's gonna explode. And then you saw her. One of your few really good friends, Higuchi. She walked quickly and tried to hide her face, probably on the edge of crying. You ran after her and stopped her by taking her hand. ,,Are you allright?" You asked, but there was no need to answer since you saw her reddish eyes full of tears. ,,He denied me. He said he would go with anybody but me."

She had the same problem as you did. She fell for somebody, who didn't give a fuck about her feelings, who took her heart and broke it without looking at her, somebody who was doing nothing but hurting her soft soul.

You hugged her so she will feel at least a little better.  You wanted her to know that even when Alutagawa doesn't, somebody in this world still care about her. But not like it really helped.

That evening she cried a lot. And you too, remembering the fact that you were denied as well. You told her.

,,(Y/N). When the both of us were denied, we can go there together.... As a friends." You nodded. Maybe this whole thing will not be that bad after all.

There was only one thing sure. Your crush would probably ignore you even when the two of you would go there together and spending this time with your best friend will be better after all.

The event is going to start soon, now Higuchi is in front of your house with her black car. As you saw her, you were surprised by how pretty she actually was. You took a seat next to her.

As you arrived, you started to feel sad again when you saw your crush laughing while talking to Chuuya. Higuchi immediately took your hand and dragged you away from the center of attention. She didn't want you to be sad. But she felt the same.

Everyone were sitting in a huge room, just the two of you were outside on a balcony. It was a little cold, but not in the unpleasant way. You were watching stars with your best friend right next to you. You smiled at her with a glass of wine in your hand.

,,So.. to us. To the left behind."
