Explaining the Multiverse

Start from the beginning

"Oh, a few reasons," Tee said. "Different versions of the Sorcerer Supreme, the God of Mischief, the Watcher, Dr. Manhattan, the Dark Knight, the fastest man alive- it's just... ALL over the place."

Dee answered the girl's second question. "And there's no way to stop it. Pfft! Hehehahaha! 'Stop it'. Yeah right."

"But there has to be something that can be done!" exclaimed Winter. "Can't you two do something?"

"Look, we can do a lot of things, but that's in here. We aren't in any multiverse. Besides, we can't do anything about that," Dee gestured to the trees. "Even if we could, it's not our place."

"But-" Ruby was interrupted by Tee.

"Look, even if we could, we wouldn't." They wanted to say something, but the host held his hand up. "The expansion of the multiverse is natural, and these two growing this fast isn't new. It's just time for another growth spurt for them. There's no danger to it at all."

"Then why were you two so worked up about it then?" asked Qrow.

The brothers looked at one another in preparation. Tee waved his hand again, and the forest faded. They were back in the cafeteria. "We got so worked up because it's related to another reason we brought you here. Walk with us."

The brothers walked out the doors and into the lobby and the rest quickly followed to two. They made their way through the hall back to the main auditorium. As they approached the doors, Maria spoke up. "So what exactly is going on? If those tremors aren't doing any harm, why are you two so serious?"

Without stopping, Dee opened the doors and stepped into the screening room. "Essentially, we," he pointed his finger to himself, then to Tee, moving it back and forth between them a few times, "and others of our kind are constantly expanding the multiverse. Our very thoughts bring new realities into existence." Again, they were all reminded of the unfathomable power these two had. "Our people's imaginations are what makes the worlds go round."

"And that leaves us with a choice," Tee said while looking at the screen, then around the screening room. "We can choose to look at what others have created. To see their thoughts and ideas come to life."

His brother then added, "With what we have planned, we believed that the events playing out in those multiverses would both expand and restrict that choice at the same time. I know, I know, that sounds extremely contradictory. That's because it is."

"But that's only with those two multiverses," Tee jumped back in. "Besides, we worked out what to do with those two. It's all good now."

"You fucking bit me!" Dee held up his right arm.

"... Okay, not between us. But with our plan, it's all good."

"Um..." Oscar spoke up. "Ozpin wants to know... what exactly are you two planning?"

Both brothers turned to look at the group. At the same time, they removed their sunglasses, and their white glowing eyes were shown to them. They both had the same look on their faces. They could be unsettling when they wanted to.

Tee snapped his fingers, and the room filled with chairs. It was the last piece needed to make the room look like it came out of a movie theater. The chairs looked like they were made of leather and each had cupholders. The screen lit up to show a multitude of glowing white orbs arranged in a spiral, going back further and further. They seemed to go on forever.

"We thought this would be a fun bonus to your break," Dee said. "We thought we would show you some of the multiverse while you were here."

They didn't know what to say. These gods pulled them out of one of the worst tragedies in recent history for a break. For time to recuperate and process what they had been through. Now they were offering them a chance to see other universes.

And since a majority of you all were worried about him," Tee said, "we thought that it would be nice for you to see different versions of your friend Jaune Arc."

"But why my brother?" questioned Saphron.

Dee took this as his cue to talk again, "As for 'Why Jaune?' as I can tell some of you are wondering, it's because he's sort of like these things." Dee lifted his hand, and a piece of paper, a ball of clay, and an orb of water manifested. Something that the group was still getting used to.

"He can fit nearly any role needed," the paper folded itself to look like a small bird. The clay was morphed to look like a chibi version of Jaune's head. Finally, the water was made to look like it was falling into a glass, and the form it took was a double helix.

"He can withstand great hardship, surprisingly." The paper unfolded and then crumpled into a ball. The clay Jaune was squished, leaving it a shapeless mass. The water was then put back as an orb, and frozen solid into a ball of ice.

"This leads to endless possibilities with other Jaune Arcs in the multiverse." The paper unfolded and was lit on fire. It burned away into ash. The clay was also lit aflame until it hardened and shattered, crumbling to dust. The ball of ice turned back into water, then it started steaming. It quickly began boiling, until it evaporated, leaving nothing.

All of the blonde boy's friends became afraid of the implications of what they said, and the visuals they just used.

"You would get to see a whole bunch of different universes that show your friend's life play out." That immediately got the interest of the blonde's team, friends, and family.

They considered it. Not many were particularly close to the boy, but they would be lying if they said seeing worlds completely different from their own wasn't interesting. Knowing what they were thinking, Dee then spoke.

"Ah, I see you've all come to a consensus."

"Alright." Tee turned to the screen. "Everyone find a place where you can see the screen. And if you want popcorn or drinks, just think about it and it'll come to you."

Everyone, now interested in what these other worlds would be like, quickly looked for places to sit. As Tee said, they thought of popcorn and drinks, and bags floated into the room to those who wanted them.

"Now everyone, let's-" Tee abruptly stopped speaking, and a look of shock spread over his face.

"What is it?" asked Emerald. She got no response, so she looked to Dee, only to see him in a similar state. "What's going on?"

Tee and Dee didn't speak. They turned their heads to look at each other and slowly smiled. "You saw it too didn't you?" Tee asked his brother.

"...Yes."

"Alright!" Turning back to the audience, Tee started growing excited. "Change of plans! I wanted to start off with some spooky stuff since for us it's getting close to All Hallows' Eve-,"

"It's our Halloween," Dee answered before anyone could ask.

"But something just came up!" The grin on Tee's face never faded. "You remember the two multiverses you saw?" Everyone nodded. "The blue one just grew some more! I had one universe in mind to show you, but I've decided this is more pressing."

Tee and Dee both raised a hand to the screen as a dim glow surrounded their outstretched hands.

And the screen turned black.

............................................................

So it was not the final part of introduction. Like I said, there was a last second change of plans. Instead of the Halloween one, I decided to go for a different one because I think it is just so fucking cool.

Thank you for being this patient while I get all of this sorted out.
