The next day, Spider and Maria departed for Tashkent, capital city of the United States of Central Asia. They arrived 2 hours later.
"How are we going to get to Samarkand from here?" Maria asked. "The train lines are shut and there aren't any buses or planes to the city."
Spider pointed to a run down and old propeller plane opposite the airport entrance on a small runway.
"We'll take that." Spider said.
The two walked over to the plane and looked for a pilot. The whole aircraft was covered with dust and soot with cracks and small holes all over it's faded silver wings. On the side of the fuselage it said "Air Khiva".
"Hello." Spider shouted but there was no response.
"Perhaps we should go inside." Stated Maria.
The two opened the side door at the end of the plane and walked in. Spider pulling out his Walther P300 and walking slowly up to the cockpit. He reached the cockpit and saw the poor state of the controls, with dust all over the dashboard and levers that had been snapped in half.
"It looks old but it might still fly." Spider stated before feeling something pressed against his back.
It was a gun.
"Drop the gun, wet neek." Said a voice from behind.
Spider dropped his gun and put his hands up. Maria, sweating, did the same.
"Good. Now turn around." Ordered the voice.
Spider turned around to see a man dressed in desert combat gear with a green beret. On his left arm, there was a patch of the greenjack, the flag of the Kingdom of England and Wales.
"Who are you and what are you doing on this plane?" The soldier asked.
"We are....tourists. Very interested in the temples and mosques of Samarkand. We saw no other way of getting there other than this pla-." Explained Spider before being cut off by the soldier.
"Shut up, pussio. You can't fool me, there's only one man in the world who carries that Walther P300. Spider." Replied the soldier.
Spider looked down at his gun. On the hilt there was a black spider carved into it. Spider smiled.
"You have quite a keen eye, Mr?" Spider asked.
"Hopper. Codename." Replied the soldier. "But enough of that, stay still while I kill you."
Spider quickly kneed Hopper in the nuts and twisted his arm behind his back forcing him down to his knees and causing him to drop the gun which Spider picked up and aimed at him.
"Well Hopper, it looks like the tables have turned, haven't they." Said Spider triumphantly. "Not very based of you."
Hopper looked up and smiled.
"Go ahead. Shoot me and the other Commandos will make you a target as well." Hopper replied.
Maria went to Spider and grabbed his shoulder.
"We've already got the Red Star, we can't afford the British Military on us as well." She said.
Hopper stopped smiling and looked at her.
"You're after the Red Star too?" He asked.
Spider raised an eyebrow.
"Yes. I take it you are as well." He replied.
"Of course, why else would I be on a plane that flies to Samarkand." He said in return.
Spider lowered his gun and reached out his hand to help Hopper up.
"Perhaps we can help each other out, for the time being, of course." Spider stated.
Hopper smiled, picked up Spiders gun and handed it back to him.
"I don't see why not, fam." Hopper replied.
