"I'm happy for you." He said sincerely.

"Thank you. You know Mrs. Fasasi, Mommy's friend..."

"Hmm. I know her. She is mom closest friend. What happened to her?" He asked.

"She called me again last week Wednesday and she asked me to come to her place. She gave her daughter and daughter-in-law clothes to sew saying they liked how I sew her dress. It was a huge achievement Demmy. Coupled with the fact that they pay so well. They don't price like people in my area. When they asked me the price, I could not tell them. But then mommy helped me and she called a huge amount of money. And to my greatest astonishment, they said that I charge less compared to their tailors. And they were thinking it was because Mommy was my mother's boyfriend. But it wasn't o. I have never collected half of that money for sowing before." She chuckled. "I was very shocked and they even sent me the money immediately. They are good customers and I am very grateful to Mommy for the opportunity."

"My mom likes you. She kept telling me about the food you made for her and the cord lace you sew for her when you visited. That's all she was talking about when she called me. She barely asked how I was doing. But I'm glad she likes you. And your work is good and that is what is speaking for you. And I am sure that is what Mummy Gbemi saw and asked you to also sow for her daughters."

"I guess so. I'm really honored."

"You should get used to it."

"I'm trying to." She chuckled. "I am. I can't wait to open my own fashion house. But I will get a place that I can be using for the time being. Some of them were curious about my shop location and all that. But I don't have any. I just gave them some kind of excuse which mom supported me." Demilade smiled.

"I will help with that. Hope you don't mind if I finish with the lounge and wonderland I want to build before doing that?"

"Of course not, I don't mind. I can wait. But thanks." She said placing a kiss on his cheek. He just chuckled and waved it off.

"It's nothing. Anything for you Love." He said kissing her hair. "I'm thinking we should go shopping for the vacation."

"Yeah! The vacation. IB has been pestering me about it. She was more anxious about your return than I am." Demilade chuckled. "I think I will need some new clothes. That's okay right?"

"Definitely. What's the extent of my money if I can't take care of my woman." He said looking at her smiling face. Lola's smile grew wider at his remarks and she moved up to place a kiss on his lips.

"Hmm. Thinking about shopping. I want to get a gift for my brother."

"Daniel?" He queried and she nodded vehemently.

"His birthday is in three weeks. I think that is when we return from the vacation."

"Yeah. Weekend?"

"Yes. Upper Saturday. I wasn't able to get a birthday gift last year because he was seriously ill and things were very hard last year. But thank God for this year." She smiled.

The current year had been in her favor. She received a blessing she doesn't expect. It has begun as a terrible year but things began to change after she met Demilade. And it has never been better. Their life had changed drastically since she started dating him. Her especially. And she can't be any less grateful for the great turnaround in her life and for Demilade coming into her life.

The deal he offered her had been a stepping stone for everything. She met the joy of her life, her biggest blessing because of that same deal she dreaded but had no choice but to agree to. And her testimony changed through it.
