Chapter 6: Forgiveness

Hello once again, thanks for reading so far even if my posts are irregular, and I mean it, when I first started writing I was scared that no one would read it and its safe to say I am still shocked at the amount of people who gave my little story a shot and I am sincerely thankful

BTW I feel so much better and don't worry its was not corona, its just malaria its pretty common in my area so I'm doing great now

Ok now that the sappy stuff is out of the way lets move on with the story

Naruto was walking through the forest, flashbacks of what inari said went through his mind, he stopped in front of a large tree and punched it with all his might and anger, so much so that the tree broke into pieces, old memories of his childhood ran through his mind and he punched another huge tree

All the words the villagers said to him came rushing back

'Demon'

Tears were streaming down his face he kicked a nearby tree to his left

'Monster'

He punched a tree to his right

'Murderer'

He fell to his knees and was crying uncontrollably

'I thought I was over this' he thought 'I thought I had past this by now'

He just laid down on the soft grass letting the wind blow his face, he closed his eyes as sleep started to take over

'I guess not' he thought and let sleep over come him

Hours later

Naruto's POV

I was awoken by a sight I never excepted, I saw a beautiful girl who was stealthily walking around, I could tell by that she was a ninja, mostly because no civilian I know could walk that quietly, she also had medium chunin level chakra and it felt strangely familiar

The girl came a bit close to me so I decided to make my presence known "I know your there" I said, the girl looked startled, I sat up and rubbed the sleep out of my eyes

I looked at the girl who seemed quite cautious around me "don't worry, I won't bite" I said jokingly the girl seemed to calm down and relax a little "why are you picking herbs" I asked pointing to the basket of herbs in her hand "well my friend is sick so I'm collecting herbs to make medicine" the girl said

3rd's POV
'friend eh' naruto thought inwardly smirking "well I can help and four hands are better than two" naruto said, the girl looked sceptical but ultimately agreed

As they were picking herbs naruto decided to break the ice "by the way what's your name?" He asked "haku and yours?" Haku said "Naruto" he answered

They picked herbs for a few minutes until the girls basket was full, as she was about to leave naruto said something that left her speechless "by the way tell zabuza that zoro will wants a good fight" naruto said smiling at her "h-how did you..." "Your chakra was similar to that hunter nin" naruto said "you know your a really nice girl I don't know why your working for zabuza" naruto asked "you wouldn't understand, I am but a tool for zabuza" the haku said walking away "by the way, I'm a boy" he said and walked away "what the-" naruto said very confused, he then opted to stop trying to comprehend what he heard and go back to the house

Naruto got back to the house and was greeted by silence at first then Sakura and Sasuke landing on him "where the hell were you you idiot?" Sasuke said "yea zoro and kakashi-sensei were looking for you" Sakura added "I will answer you once you get off me" naruto said

They both got off him and patiently waited for him to answer "as I said before I went to blow up some trees" naruto shrugged

"well any way its a good thing your back" kakashi said out of no where making naruto shout in surprise "number one rule as a ninja always be alert" kakashi said with an eye smile "you better be careful or you might just need to take your own advise" naruto mumbled "what was that?" Kakashi asked suspiciously "nothing" naruto said with a scarily sweet smile

"well I'm off" Naruto said heading to the room. As naruto sat in the room he was thinking about last night but he was brought out of his thoughts when zoro opened the door "oh hey Zoro san" naruto said "where were you?" Zoro asked in a stern voice "um I was..." naruto said shakily, zoro just sighed and sat beside him "naruto what's wrong?" He asked with concern in his voice naruto looked down "zoro san do you think I'm strong" naruto asked, zoro was taken aback by this question but quickly recovered and looked at the blond "why would you ask that?" Zoro said, naruto looked dishearten until zoro continued "of course you are" he said, naruto looked up to zoro "but when zabuza attacked I couldn't do anything until you came and I lost my cool just because a little boy said some stupid stuff" naruto said and looked at his hands "I thought I got past that stage but..." Naruto paused "it still hurts" zoro completed his sentence "yeah" naruto mumbled
"Look its natural to feel hurt or sad, after all we're only human, but don't let it get to you" zoro said 'wow zoro san never gets all sappy' naruto thought

"Quit being so sappy it doesn't suit you" naruto said, zoro looked at him with a raised eyebrow "what did you say blondy"zoro said in a dangerously calm voice, but naruto did not waver

"I think I'll tell Sanji san you big softie" naruto said with a wide grin "why you little" zoro said and proceeded to tickle naruto so much that he fell down

Naruto just laughed and tried to make him stop "z-zoro san p-please stop" naruto said laughing "take back what you said" zoro said "fine fine I-I take it back just please stop" naruto pleaded, zoro finally let up and left naruto
Naruto took a deep breath of relief and glared at his older brother figure

Then they heard a knock on the door and Nemma and Mito came in "um naruto can we talk to you" Mito said, zoro glanced at naruto and mouthed good luck and left closing the door behind him

"So what do you want?" Naruto said looking at his siblings "um naruto we want" Mito started "we wanted to um" Nemma said "spit it out" naruto said "we wanted to say we're sorry" Nemma and Mito said simultaneously while bowing "we know what we did to you all those years were terrible but please" Mito said "please forgive us" Nemma finished, naruto sat there thinking 'come on kid at least give them a chance to prove themselves, look at their eyes' kurama said 'yeah it really isn't their fault, Minato and Kushina made them think that way' Naruto thought "get up you idiots I forgive you" naruto said getting up, as he passed them he whispered "but that doesn't mean he will go easy on you in training tomorrow" to which kurama smirked evilly "wait you know who our trainer is?" Mito said looking at him but naruto just smirked "who is it?" Nemma asked "all in due time you'll find out all in due time" naruto said letting kurama's voice seep into his own
