I welcomed the burning sensation in my chest.
The warm liquid that made my vision hazy
and my mind clouded.
My hand shook as I
continued to shove the bottle to my lips
Desperate to feel the numbness take over
Enough to quiet the
spiraling thoughts in my brain.
