Xin Ten continued to ask, “Then why are you in the mood to cook this much?” He froze for a moment after finishing his sentence, then asked hastily, “Are you thinking about inviting Jeon Jungkook over to eat?”

Xin Lisa remembered Jungkook messaging her telling her that he couldn’t pick her up because of an important meeting, so he told the driver to pick her up. But Xin Lisa had a car herself so she didn’t want to make it troublesome. She messaged him back, saying that she could drive home herself.
Jungkook told her to be careful on the way and said that he had a dinner party to attend after the meeting. By the time it ended, it probably would’ve been too late.
Xin Lisa only replied, “Oh.”
Now that Xin Tenasked, Xin Lisa explained, “He’s a bit busy.”
Xin Ten did not give his opinion.
Xin Lisa also told him that she will go back to Shen Jin City tomorrow morning to see Jian Lan. “Do you need my help?” Xin Ten asked.
He was just asking because he knew that Xin Lisa always wanted to handle everything herself. All this time, she never allowed him to interfere with her business.

Jungkook went to find her the next morning and sent her a message telling her that he will wait for down stairs, but she still hadn’t responded in a long time. He rang the bell; upon recognizing his voice, Xin Ten replied without opening the door, “She went to work.”
Jungkook was surprised. She went to work early today?
He wanted to ask her out for lunch but she hadn’t responded to the message still. He could only call her directly.
Xin Lisa just met Jian Lan when Jungkook called her. They scheduled for 10:30, but Xin Lisa waited for a whole forty minutes to see her.
Jian Lan still had her theatrical costume on her. After she saw Xin Lisa, she apologized with a smile on her face, “Sorry, I thought I could go on break earlier, but then they added another scene, so I didn’t have time until now. Sorry for making Ms. Xin wait for such a long time.”
“It’s ok, thank you for taking the time to meet with me. This time…”
Before Xin Lisa finished her words, her phone rang. It was Jungkook. She picked it up to take a glance then she hung up.
But a few moments later, the phone call came in again. “Sorry, I’m going to answer a call.” Xin Lisa explained.
Jian Lan nodded and smiled.
The first thing Jungkook asked was: when do you get off work? Xin Lisa answered, “I don’t know.”
“Then give me a call when you finish. I’ll bring you out to eat.”
“Jungkook, I’m not in A City.”
“Hm?”
“I’m at Shenjin City.” Xin Lisa heard the subtle tone in his voice before she remembered that she forgot to tell him that she went to see Jiang Lan. However, she didn’t dare to delay him. She said hurriedly, “I’m busy right now, I’ll call you back later.”
“Hello?”
After Xin Lisa hung up the call, she quickly set her phone to vibrate.
