Ch. 24 "Alone"

                                        Jordan POV 

I can't recall the last time I slept, the last time I seen my family, the last time I was in human form, 

Stuck as a Coyote does that, 

But my heart aches too much to go back, too much to look my family in the eyes knowing the destruction I've caused, 

And I let it happen, letting the Coyote be in control, 

The sun was just starting to go down, I rested in a cave, it was cool, my head resting in-between my paws that had dry blood and mud on them, 

Small animals scurried close by my head, but I didn't bother I'm not in control anyway, 

"We've been at this for months, we almost had her in Colorado," I hear Rebekah 

"Do you ever stop complaining?" I hear Stefan, 

"Lay off would you if it wasn't for your brother we wouldn't have to be doing this," I hear Kol

I raise my head, my nose twitching, 

I smell them, my family, 

I lay my head back down, 

I'm just so tired, I loved him, Kai, he besides my family was the only one who cared, 

I didn't realize it until I lost him, that I loved him deeply, 

I hear the crunching of twigs and leaves, 

"You smell that?" I hear Nik, 

"What?" I hear Damon 

"She's close by," I hear Nik, 

"How can you smell her, she doesn't have a scent," I hear Stefan, 

"Because me and Jordan have an unbreakable bond, from the moment we found her, we formed a sort of pack bond if you will," I hear Nik 

"Can you even do that? she's a Coyote.." I hear Damon

"Yes, at the time, Jordan was a child, vulnerable, fragile, afraid, I became her alpha, hence why I can smell her while you lot cannot," I hear Nik, 

"She's close," I hear Nik 

I blinked slowly a bird resting on the bridge of my nose others on my back and tail, it shows you how much I give a damn at this moment, 

I'm just so tired, tired of running, tired of letting the coyote call the shots, 

The footsteps got closer, 

that was until they came into view, 

I see my brother's and sister, Nik was leading them, and the Salvatore brothers

"Niklaus ahead," I hear Elijah, 

They all looked at me, 

"What's she doing?" Stefan said 

"Who know's it's not her in control," Nik said approaching me, 

"Careful Nik," Kol said 

I remained on the ground my head laying in-between my paws, 

"I know," Nik said 

Nik was now kneeling in front of me, 

"Hey little pup," Nik said a nickname he gave me since I was found by him and Elijah, 

I groaned pretty much telling him to leave me be, 

"Let's go home huh," He said as he placed his hand on my head, I stood up swaying because of how tired I was, making my way deeper in the cave, 

"She seems to not to want to be disturbed," I hear Elijah as I lay in the dark corner of the cave that I can be left alone in, 

"I don't care what she wants," I hear Nik

I just want to stay here, I thought as I laid in the darkness,
