Reminiscence

"So Greenie! Lemme hear that voice o' yours" said Toga "I haven't actually heard it before"

Izuku simply signed "Home" and she understood that he would talk at home.

As they walked down the sidewalk the two looked around at all the stores, cafes, and restaurants.

"WHAAAAAA IZUKU WE HAVEEEE TO GO THERE! PLEASEPLEASEPLEASEPLEASE!" Toga said frantically, pointing at a pet store with cats wandering around it.

Izuku was annoyed with Toga after the way she bugged him with everything, but here in the moment he looked down at her and saw the genuine joy she was radiating.

She looked over to him and saw his cold green eyes soften as he stared at her, in the moment neither of them realized it but the two of them were both blushing.

Izuku smiled, for the first time that Toga had seen, a true full smile now having a lower jaw.

He nodded, and grabbed her hand, leading her through the masses of people in the streets and across the street, and into the pet store.

Toga, now with slack between her and Izuku's arms, took over the pulling and led him over to the corner where a group of cats were converged around a row of food bowls.

Toga crouched down with a toothy grin looking at the swarm of felines. One small cat that was being shoved by its larger counterparts was expelled from the circle, unable to reach the food.

It's head dropped and it turned around, then noticing Toga.

"Awww you hungry little guy?" Toga asked rhetorically of course as most cats can't speak Japanese.

"Yes" it said "theys won't let me eatses, because I can speaks to human peoples" the cat said looking up at Toga.

"YOU CAN TALK?" She screamed, not necessarily scared but more excitedly.

"Oh yes dearie" said an elderly woman who was the owner of the store "we sell all kinds of animals and food. This cat has a quirk that gives it a base understanding of every language from birds chirping to German people screaming"

"That's amazing. Does he have a name?" Toga asked. The woman shook her head and laughed.

"The cat can talk remember? He named himself, go ask" the elderly woman said chuckling to herself.

Toga went back to talking to the cat and Izuku went to do so as well but he was interrupted by the elderly woman

"Oh my gosh! Is that Izuku Midoriya? How have you been? It's been so long. I remember when you, Mrs Midoriya and your beautiful daughter Eri came in to get bird feed for Eri's parakeet. Speaking of which how are Mina and Eri?" She conversed with him.

Izuku froze up after hearing her name. Mina... god how he missed her. His whole purpose in life was to protect his family and he had failed. "She passed. We got caught in the crossfire during a heroes fight, only me and Eri made it out." he signed to her

The elderly woman flipped out. "WHAT GOD DAMNED HERO WOULD DARE HURT SUCH A SWEETHEART I SWEAR TO GOD ILL KILL THEM"

"Wait Izuku wha-" Toga started, Izuku put his hand on her shoulder and shook his head, a single tear escaped his eye running down his cheek.

Toga wiped it away with her thumb. "It's Ok if you don't want to talk about it right now"

Izuku nodded and gave a small melancholy smile. The Elderly woman was still flipping out. "I SWEAR TO GOD IF I GET MY HANDS ON WHATEVER HERO DID THIS I WILL BREAK ALL THEIR BONES"

"It's fine" Izuku signed "Me and Eri went to America for a while and came back, afterwards she enrolled in UA and I quit being a hero. Now we are together and Eri moved out" he finished signing, pointing to Toga.

"Speaking of which we should get home soon so I can get started on dinner" Toga bluffed, noticing that Izuku wanted to go.

"Oh of course Dearie. And please take the cat. I'm sure he'd love to live with a fine woman like yourself" the woman said smiling "be sure to visit again sometime. And please be careful going home. I saw that some convict villain, The Marionette or something, escaped from prison"

"You be careful too" said Toga as the two left

"My name is Boh by the ways" said the cat to Izuku

He did not reply.
