Chapter 14

"Soooooo" Kelly starts, rocking in the seat looking around the room impatiently in a bit of a giddy, hyper way. "What's the story?" She smiles leaning in towards your 

Cringing and shrinking back away from her you think irritably, "she really needs to learn about personal space."

Miss Rita starts talking, seeing the look on your face. "So how do you two know eachother?"

"Oh! We-"

"We don't" you reply bluntly.

"Hahahaha! Oh your so silly Y/N!" She elbows you slightly. "No we used to work together Miss- uhhh, hold on don't tell me! Uhh- RIGHT Miss Rita!"

"Really?" Miss Rita asks curiously, not seeming to acknowledge Kelly's forgetfulness. "I never knew you had friends Y/N. Why didn't you tell me this before?"

Kelly seems to be about to say more again but you cut her off sharply. "We never were friends, we hardly knew-" you pause shortly looking towards Kelly "-or know each other."

Kelly seems  to stop talking with her jaw open as if she was about to say something but it got stuck there. Miss Rita looks between the two of you and decides to try and break the awkward silence by going on and asking more questions.

"How did you two find each other?"

"Oh, we bumped into each other" Kelly giggles "literally."

"Yeah, some of the groceries got in between us." You say pointedly towards some of the groceries, a few of the fruited and veggies which got a bit bruised.

Kelly laughs loudly again, when she finished laughing she turns back towards Miss Rita and starts pummeling her with question while you sigh, already tired of her. 

"I can now believe how she dealt with all those blobs for years but Kelly!? How has she NOT gone nuts already!?"

You then just stare watching in disbelief as Miss Rita answers all of Kelly's seemingly endless questions so calmly and patiently.

Kelly then looks over to the Sid rod the room am where your sitting [which is nearest to the playroom door] and she gasps very loudly before squealing, "WHAT'S THAT?!" pointing her finger in front of the doorway. 

You turn to where shes pointing confused before seeing something that makes your heart drop. Dream is standing there ominously staring at Kelly, his smile looking more sinister and threateningly than usual. 

Kelly however doesn't seem to notice in the slightest. She ducks under the table, quickly popping up in front of it and then getting into dreams face chattering excitedly.

"Oh my god what is this!? It's so cute!! It looks squishy? Can I squish it?? Oh she's so cuteeeeee!!!"

Dream already seems done, pissed with Kelly already, giving her a death stare that even rivals Miss Rita's- almost, but before he can do anything bad, Blobinnit, Skeppblob, Tubblob, and Ranblob peek around the corner if the door up at Kelly. Ranblob and Tubblob being the only ones looking at Dream, terrified.

Kelly let's out another loud gasp, this one somehow even louder and longer than the first one. Then rushes I've rand starts crowding the rest of the blobs, ranblob and tubblob being the only ones who wisely back away. 

"There's MORE!?!?"

"Yes dear, i mean this is their 'daycare' you could say." Miss Rita says from behind Kelly.

Kelly turns  back to her in awe then her expression suddenly changes and she pops up in front of you. "You work here!? At this daycare!?"

You shrink back slightly embarrassed, "yeah-"

"That. Is. So. AWESOME!!! YOUR SO LUCKY!!" She starts energetically bouncing up and down, as if she ate a whole tub of candy and jumping beans all in one, and never got it out of her system. She then bounces over and pick up all the blobs in one fell swoop. 

Dream loses it and nudges Kelly hard in the ribs. Kelly drops them in surprise, winded and they scurry off hurriedly. Dream huffing angrily  as he storms off and the other follow in suit. Innit looking both irritated and scared at the same time.

"Ow ow ow ow." Kelly gasps, hopping backwards slightly while trying to regain her breath again.

"I'm sorry about that dear." Miss Rita replies apologetically. "They get very- sensitive and cautious with new people."

"Oh it's alright!" Kelly says, breathing about normal again. "Sometimes i get carried away" she laughs sheepishly. She and Miss Rita begin talking again, tired and wanting to get away from Kelly's energetic and annoying jabber, you slip off upstairs and into your room, sighing as you sit down on your bed. 

Looking down you see all the blobs huddled under the things in your room peeping out at you.

"Hiding here I see? Yeah I feel ya. Gets annoying after just a few seconds."

They peep out more and you slip from your bed front to sit down, criss cross, on the floor by the blobs. They all come up and surround you, laying in your lap or agains your leg. You sigh again and stare up at the ceiling, frowning when you see blob XD staring down at you from the ceiling fan, which was bending from its weight. 

"I don't want to deal with your chaos right now." You tell XD. 

As usual it says nothing but an unspoken, mutual agreement settles between you two as you all sit there in the room.
