Amber's Story

Chapter Five

As I jogged back to the group I noticed Derek and Amy were back in the group. They were still in front of Zoomerang. Amy still looked pale. I smiled for that and waved at them. Tony was first to see me heading towards them and waved back smiling. 

" Hey I'm back. Sorry, I had to join up my brother and sister for a 'check-in' " I apologized while air quoting the words "check-in". Matt patted my back.

" It's OK. We were a little confused why you ran off, but you're back now. Hey, how old's your sister?" Matt asked winking with a mischievous grin.

" To old for you. Unless your into women that are about four years older than you." I responded. He stepped back a few steps and clung to his heart as if he was shot. I laughed.

" Ooh! I don't know! If your sis is into being my cougar you let me know will ya?" I laughed again. He was funny and a jokester. I was going to enjoy my vacation for at least today with everyone. After we finished our chat we all continued going around the park. We went on Thunder and Lightning, and Down Time. After Down Time Amy received a call and had to leave. 

" I have to go, Derek. Today was great! I love you." She said then presses her lips to his. I looked away, but still heard sucking noises and moans. I noticed Johnny gagging and pretending to vomit. I giggled at that.

" Sheesh Amy, you guys just did it 20 minutes ago. I swear you're more of a sex addict than Derek sometimes." Matt proclaims, snickering. As I turned back around, Amy was already 10 feet away.  

" Wow, she walks quick. I wouldn't think she'd have enough energy after how sick she looked from the rides. Or is that also part of the facade?" I asked. They laughed at that. Derek only sighed and stretched. 

" So, now that she's gone, anyone wanna ride roller-coasters later?" Derek asked. I shrugged, Matt voted yes, and Tony and Johnny said " Later."  We then rode the Bumper cars. When we were done I checked in with Jessica and Steven. Sis handed me $20. " For snacks if you get hungry. Or will your boy toys treat you?" 

When I got back I realized that Matt was missing.  " Hey, where's Matt?" I asked.

" He had to go pick up his sister from a party she went to. " Tony explained. " He said for me to give you his number." He took my phone and posted it in.

" Aww. oh well." I said. As he gave me back my phone, I looked in my contacts and saw the name Tony. I looked at him, raising an eyebrow. He smiled and shrugged. I tucked my cell away, smiling back. " Soo.. What we going on next?"

" Can we go on the pirate ship before we leave?" Johnny asked. I shrugged then nodded. Derek said, " sure."  We got in line.  After the ride was over we exchanged goodbyes. Tony hugged me tightly. I patted his back then waved. Once they left Derek turned to me. 

" Well? How about we hang out and go on the roller-coasters again because we never did that yet and then maybe walk around together??" He asked. His eyes looked excited and he smiled hopefully at me. I smiled back.

" Why not? They're the most fun after all." I answered. His eyes gleamed as he took my hand and led me to the Wild Cat. He showed me a way that you don't bang around too roughly on a wooden coaster such as itself. I was having a great time. We next went on Boulder Dash. He bought me a picture of us on the ride at the end. As we passed a food stand he stopped me.

" Have you ever eaten fried oreos? Please tell me you have." He begged. I shook my head.

" Really? How have you never eaten anything as amazing as Fried Oreos!?"  I shrugged then hung my head.

" Hey can we get some Fried Oreos, please?"  I looked up and saw him purchasing a plate full of what I think were Fried Oreos. I made a face as he offered me some. He picked one up and pressed it against my mouth. I sighed and took a bite. It tasted like melted oreo with like a breading over it. It was hot and it had powdered sugar on top. I chewed happily and swallowed. I took another and popped it in my mouth. He smiled and ate the rest of the one I bit. 

When we finished, we went on the ride called Twister. We spun it round and around, faster and faster, till we grew dizzy and couldn't spin anymore. We could barely walk when we got off the ride.  We were laughing so hard my stomach started hurting. We then walked by the game stands. I noticed a cute colorful teddy bear with a different pattern for each arm and leg. 

"Do you want it?" Derek asked. He caught me looking at it. He paid the guy and was given 3 baseballs.

" Oh you really don't need to that!" I said in a hurry. He turned and smiled.

" I know I don't need too. I want to." He threw the ball at the stack of bottles. He missed the first time, hit the top one the second time then got one more with the last ball. He turned and shrugged. As I was about to say let go on one more ride, he punched out the guy running the booth, swiped the teddy bear, grabbed my hand, and made a break for it. 

" Any rides you want to go on last?" He asked. Before I could say anything he dragged me to the Giant Wheel and we hitched a ride. We sat in the ride, panting out of breath. He handed me the teddy bear with a gentle smile. " Not exactly the way I wanted to get it for you, but there's always a next time."

I started to laugh. I couldn't really help it, with all that adrenalin I had it was the only way it could escaped. He laughed with me and took my hand. I looked into his eyes, sucked in by the darkness in them. He leaned towards me and pressed his lips to mine gently.
