"it's field trip day!" i said as i ran into class, jumping on mingis back.
"god y/n! you scared me!" mingi said, holding his heart dramatically. i laughed a little before noticing some people staring at me.
"mingi uh.. who are they?" i whispered to him, cautiously peering around his shoulder at them.
"they're my friends, they're gonna keep us company today." mingi said, putting his arm around the other tall ones shoulder
"ah.. okay..." i said, looking at them suspiciously
"let's introduce ourselves!" one shouted, he had dyed ginger hair and... a really nice nose? damn... i'm jealous
"i'm hongjoong!" he exclaimed with a big smile on his face which i returned
"i am yunho" said one that was a little taller than mingi, that's a little intimidating
"i am jongho, hi!" he said doing a little wave at me, i smiled at him in return
"i am yeosang!! i really like chicken" i smiled and him and nodded my head, chicken is good.
"i am san and this is wooyoung" the two said, i could already tell that they're inseparable
"hello i'm seonghwa" the last one said with a judgemental expression on his face. that's kinda scary...
"it's nice to meet you guys! i'm y/n!" i said excitedly, holding onto my backpack
"okay guys it's time to get onto the bus!" the teacher said, counting us as we left the class. we were all put into duos but there was one trio since no one wanted to go with someone else from our class.
the groups consisted of:
group 1: wooyoung, san and yeosang (their third wheel)
group 2: mingi and yunho
group 3: hongjoong and jongho
group 4: y/n and seonghwa
we all got onto the bus, taking our seats next to our partners. i looked over at group 1 and saw wooyoung and san using yeosang as a foot rest. i laughed a little before turning back to face the window.
"hi seonghwa!" i said enthusiastically, holding out my hand for him to high five. i awkwardly put it down as he completely ignored me and continued staring at the front of the bus. i cleared my throat and looked at my phone, this journey was gonna be pretty long so i decided to bring my airpods and listen to music. i pressed shuffle and white love by ateez came on, i smiled as i leaned back into my seat.
i bounced my leg up and down as it was a habit i had, suddenly i saw seonghwas knee move over to where mine was causing our knees to touch. i stared at them but he didn't move his. i smiled a little, hiding my face behind my mask as i pulled it up over my face.
seonghwa pov:
i looked to my left to see y/n staring out of the window, i stared at her side profile and smiled. she's really pretty, good job to mingi for finding her. well she is my partner for this camping trip so let's see how this goes.
y/n pov:
"ughhh i'm so hungry" i said, leaning back in my chair, pulling my legs up onto the seat.
"seonghwaaaa" i called out, seonghwa turned his head and raised one of his eyebrows curiously
"do you have food?" i asked, pouting a little at him.
"not for you." seonghwa said smugly, a slight smirk on his face. i gasped and turned away from him.
"fine whatever" i mumbled as i put my airpods back in, resuming the song
seonghwa pov:
i looked to my left once again, only to see y/n sleeping next to me. i do feel a little harsh for not letting her have any food.. my thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a sudden pressure on my shoulder i flinched and saw y/n now leaning on my shoulder, asleep. i hesitantly lay my head on hers, i needed some sleep too.
mingis pov:
"hey y/n, seonghwa do any of you ha- wait... yunho look at this!" yunho looked over the seat, gasping at the sight. y/n had her head on seonghwas shoulder asleep while seonghwa rested his head on her. yunho and mingi both pulled out their phones, taking a picture of the two of them. they immediately made a group chat without y/n and seonghwa, forwarding the picture to the others.
y/n pov:
i was awoken by seonghwa lightly shaking me awake, i looked out of the window to see the campsite. i excitedly got up, i was suddenly wide awake. i grabbed my bags and ran up to mingis friend group enthusiastically.
"weren't you just asleep?" mingi asked, pretty confused at my sudden hyper self
"mhm!" i hummed, smiling at him
