TO KILL A CHEERLEADER: NEW BLOOD.

CHAPTER THIRTEEN

JERRICK

What's wrong with Melanie, I wondered.

She was acting really weird, not to mention she had killed somebody who wasn't supposed to die. She couldn't go back to school, since her clothes were stained with blood. She had to go back to Christopher's house. I went back to school, though. When I arrived, the lunch bell had just ringed.

I wondered where that cute red-head girl that was crushing on me was.

Suddenly, I heard Grim in my head.

'Back of the school, now,' he hissed.

By the sound of his voice, it was urgent. I hurriedly walked to the back of the school. The place was deserted. Grim was standing by the door.

'Hey,' I said casually. 'What's up?'

'I need you to do something,' Grim said.

        'Sure, what is it?'

'I want you to kill Melanie.'

'Ha-ha,' I said sarcastically. Grim had a weird sense of humor.

        'I mean it,' he said.

'You can stop now. This joke is getting boring,' I said and rolled my eyes. 'Did Melanie put you up to this? I'm sure she did, April Fool's Day is just next month, so I wouldn't be surprised if--'

Grim cut my excessively long statements.

'Will you shut the fuck up and listen to me?!' he shouted.

I shut up. Wait a minute...he actually meant it.

'Wait, you don't expect me to...' I couldn't finish my sentence.

'You have no choice,' Grim said. "Melanie has to be stopped.'

'And why is that? Stopped from what?'

        'She's suffering from a disease.'

        'What?' I gasped.
