chapter 1: Esmeralda

"ESMERALDA, can you come back now?I have alot of things to discuss with you especially about the marriage, I already gave you 5 months to enjoy".

She just listen to the lady on the phone. She can feel frustration  but she doesn't care anymore.

        She always respect her parents since she was young but a word respect is not for them anymore. 5 months compared to 25 years treated to be in a prison is not enough to make her guilt gone. She already remove the word respect in her   vocabulary since her parents announced that she's getting married to an old man she didn't even know. She missed alot of things since she was young. She do home schooling elementary to high school. She read an article saying Manila University is now accepting enrollees.

                     She got curios and ask her parents and explain it to her she didn't know that there's a school  outside so she begged to her parents to enroll her to Manila University at first her parents don't agree until she cry because she badly want to meet people outside and make friends ofcourse. After so many hardship her parents finally agree.  She was so happy, but her parents dont let her go to school alone she always has a bodyguards and one maid no partys at all she go to school and go home that's the routine every day.

   Everyone is so freindly and very nice to her, and then she met this girl named Jessie and taught her how to interact and talk people because she's a shy type a lot of men asking her number but she didn't know what they're talking about, they only have a landline on their house, she has no cellphone even social media  4 years had passed and finally graduated as a cum laude. She really wants to make her parents proud. But her parents didn't even attend to the party  prepared by them because they are busy but that was okey for her, because her friends is with her and they had fun. She wants to work so she ask her parents to give her work.

Her parents agreed to that so that she  work on their company and everything is good and fine until her parents talks about marriage. She was arrange marriage by their investor Mr. Choi she got mad and flew to new york with the help of her friend jessie. 

      She hangs up the call and sat on the sofa. She saw a refreshing view from her condo it was her dad's 18 birthday to her at first she dont accept it because she thinks na hindi nya iyon magagamit. But thankfully she didnt sell it to someone because it really has a big help, she doesn't need to pay for rent. She work as a manager on a Starbucks. Well treated and good employees its like a family to her.

      5 months in New York she can say her life is fully changed she always go to a bar to get wasted a lot of men dated her but it never stayed in 1 week because she just want to be happy but not to be committed she knows it's a big responsibility so she always go to bar to forget about the marriage she just want to live her life and makes herself being the most happy person in the world. Maybe it selfless or selfish or what but she dont want to listen to anybody it's her life afterall.

        She wanted to enjoy the life that her parents didn't give to her when she was a teen ager. Thanks to her friend Jessie for making her dream come true to escape on a House like a prison. Jessie is still studying because she wanted to be a lawyer. And as a lawyer she always get scolded by her freind and always pushing her to comeback and fix everything  maybe her parents can  understand her but she knows her parents they are more selfless than her if she return to them she will experience the prison again lonely and no social interaction she will be crazy if she stay  on that kind of house thankfully his dad is not like her mommy. Her father let her to enjoy and come back when everything is okey. But she has no plan coming back its time to choose her happiness and no one will be controlling her life

Summary:

Esmeralda stayed on their house for almost 25 years. Buti na lang pumayag na mag college sya pero kailangan may kasamang maid at body guard. Her parents received the highest level of her respect dahil ayaw nya itong ma disappoint. Until her parents plan to arrange marriage her to someone she doesn't even know kaya namn mula noon ay hindi nya na ito ginalang at lumipad ng New york upang duon manirahan.
