Random scenerios I think of

"It's not like you died," Jason found himself saying even though that wouldn't make this better. In fact, it made it worse. He saw how Dick tensed up and how he bowed his head slightly. "Come on, you know I didn't mean anything by-"

"I did die, Jason." He didn't bother to pick his sentence back up once it had been interrupted. "Dick was gone. I wasn't there for my family. I didn't do anything to help. I may as well have been dead."

"Dude-"

"But I'm back now and that's all that matters, doesn't it? We're heroes it's not like we get traumatised. It's not like I get phantom pains, it's not like I wake up every day fearing this will be the day I don't remember, it's not like I have a scar that'll never go away as a reminder." Jason shrank back but not at the volume. No, that remained conversational. It was the tone. It was casual and factual, compartmentalized already. That's when he realised that Dick hadn't come to terms with what happened despite it being a year ago. He always bounced back so quick, always ready to joke and move on that now he'd finally met his match, he didn't know what to do. "Sorry I didn't get a more violent ending, my body didn't die and I'm physically fine now." Dick put his hand on the car door but Jason locked it before he could open it. "Unlock the door, Jason."

"No, I'd rather not. I'm a piece of shit but I'm not a piece of shit who discredits other people's trauma. I need you to know that."

"Noted. Now let me out."

"No." They glared at one another, neither breaking the stare. "I didn't know you weren't okay."

"It doesn't matter. I'm overdramatic, aren't I? Just memories right? I didn't die by your definition."

"Dick." The older let out a huff and took his hand away from the door. "Are you gonna run again?"

"What?"

"When you get stressed and things get bad, you run. Not being a douche about it. It's just how you cope but I need to know if that's how you're gonna cope. Those kids need the heads up if you're going AWOL." There was a long pause before Dick shook his head slowly.

"I wanted to. After everything cooled down, I still wanted to but I don't...I don't feel safe. On my own. Not anymore."

"Explains why you're touchy about it," Jason muttered.

"Yeah. I don't like the memories. Even the happy ones with Bea. I can't enjoy it if that entire time, my family was suffering. You guys had to let me go that's not easy for me to come to terms with. I'm all about family, it's my thing." He leaned into the car seat before dropping his eyes to his lap. "It feels like shit Jay."

"I'm sorry, what did you just say?" Tim asked, his cheeks flushed with embarrassment.

"If you want B off your back about something, you ask him questions about girls or boys."

"I like girls," the younger defended.

"Didn't say you didn't Timbo. Point still stands. Ask about when should you be going on dates, kissing, making the beast with two backs-"

"Dick!"

"Yeah that's involved in-"

"Richard," Tim complained in an exasperated tone. The older cackled at him and patted him on the back sympathetically. He did love getting to be the older brother teasing him about things. It came naturally, what could he say? "Does it really work?"

"It does. Not with me though. Sex positivity got to me before B being weird did," Dick warned him.

"Explains your suits."

"Hey! I dress that way for me and me alone."

"Oh, we know."

"Hey Star, no offence but you spoke Japanese perfectly when you kissed that guy in Tokyo so why can't you speak English perfectly even though you kissed Robin?" Beast Boy asked innocently. In all honesty, it was a question the group had been thinking but none of them had really paid attention to it until Tokyo. All the variables are the same so why were there different outcomes? Especially when Japanese was arguably harder to grasp just to the importance of pronunciation.

"When someone knows lots of languages, it can be hard to figure out which is which. Different rules don't help."

"You know different languages, Rob?" Beast Boy asked, now intrigued in another line of conversation. The boy wonder raised an eyebrow.

"Of course I do. I was raised in a circus then by Batman-"

"Rewind: you were raised in a circus?" Cyborg chipped in.

"Yeah? I thought I told you guys this?"

"But you sound American," Beast Boy pointed out.

"Well, I will do. I learned English from Batman who is American-"

"Your first language is not English?" Starfire questioned.

"Huh, I honestly thought I was more open with you guys. Yeah, I didn't speak English a lot as a kid. Only knew the basics and then Bats helped me with the rest." There was some silence as they took in this new fact. "Are you sure I didn't tell you this?"

"It took you like a year before you told us why you moved from Gotham!"

"Guess I'm more secretive than I thought."

"Let me get this straight," Poison Ivy began. She pinched the bridge of her nose as Riddler looked at her expectantly. "You want me to mind control Robin so he waits in your stupid little maze and doesn't try to escape?"

"Yes," he said, not seeing the issue.

"Robin. You want me to mind control, Robin." His eyes flicked over to his henchmen to make sure he wasn't the only one confused by why this was an issue before flicking them back and nodding. "Riddler, my toxin works through the exchange of saliva."

"Right, I knew that."

"So you know I'd have to kiss Robin."

"Yep."

"Robin. Who is ten." He paused before making an o shape with his mouth.

"Right. Ten. I forgot he was ten. Yes well, good shout yeah. That would be weird. Can you make it slightly airborne or anything?"

"You wanted me to kiss a child and now you want me to synthesize an airborne version of it?" she deadpanned, her eyes narrowing with annoyance.

Robin always skipped out on their together time to go on patrol so the Titans thought if they did his job for him, he'd appreciate it and hang out. That was not the case. Instead, he became grouchy and stayed in his room more. When prodded, he finally exploded. "I get it. You can do my job better than me because you can do everything better than me with your fancy powers. You just didn't have to be so rude about it," he barked out.

"But we did it so you could hang out with us," Beast Boy explained.

"That doesn't make me feel any less shitty. I've been doing this since I was nine and it's how I cope. You ruined it."
