"I don't know." Camilla sighed before walking down the hallway with Meredith, "So what's up with you?"

"Derek won't get off the couch."

Camilla scoffed, "Men."

They made their way to the nurses station, overhearing Izzie's interns talking about 'patient x'.

"What's this patient X thing that's taking all the interns?" Meredith asked,

"And when's it gonna be over?" Cristina asked as they all gathered by Alex, "I need my minions to do my crap work."

"Some new teaching thing." Alex explained,

"You know, we're all killing ourselves to get into the OR. When's the last time Izzie's held a scalpel?" Cristina questioned, "She's falling behind. She's like the new O'Malley."

"Izzie's nothing like O'Malley." Alex scoffed,

Camilla nudged George playfully, "They're joking."

Dr. Bailey walked over, "Okay, O'Malley, Nieves, you're both in the clinic. Grey and Yang, you're with me. Karev, you're in the pit with Hunt.'

"Um, Dr. Bailey, I'm supposed to be on trauma with Dr. Hunt." Camilla stated,

"Save it, Nieves, Hunt wants Karev." Dr. Bailey sighed,

Chief Webber approached the group and Dr. Bailey began to speak, only to get interrupted, "Is Dr. Shepherd planning to grace us with his presence today?" He asked Meredith,

"Yes, he's fine." Meredith answered,

Dr. Bailey continued to converse with Dr. Webber and Camilla rolled her eyes before making her way towards the clinic.

Camilla took a break at 1pm to go get lunch. She found Cristina, Meredith, and Izzie sat at a round table and she joined them, carrying her sandwich and water,

"And he just walked out. Without saying a word, he just walked out." Meredith complained about Derek's attitude towards the Chief,

"Hunt won't even look at me since he went all 'Apocalypse Now' on me this morning." Camilla grumbled, opening her water bottle,

"Had to get all scalpel happy up in that patient's brain, and now he can't face it." Meredith continued,

"He thinks I'm like a wilting flower as if I hadn't had may fair share of trauma in my life. I'm stronger than he thinks."

"You know, if I had that stomach cancer gene, I would get that gastrectomy, no problem." Cristina added, "I face things. I don't walk away."

"Derek walks away. Maybe walking away is the answer." Meredith said,

"You should ask Hunt." Camilla thought about, "Maybe he won't walk away when you're talking to him."

"See, it's not emotional. It's science. You have a problem, don't ignore it." Cristina bit off her carrot,

"It's all fight or flight, isn't it?" Camilla took a bite of her food,

"Sometimes if you have to pee and you ignore it, it does go away." Meredith commented,

Izzie laughed, "You guys are hilarious. I mean, do you even know what you guys just said?"

"Uh, yeah." Camilla smiled, "Cristina was going on about her and Meredith's stomach cancer siblings and how they were arguing on whether to get the gastrectomy or not, and Meredith is talking about Derek's scene with the Chief this morning."

"I can totally see you guys in the nursing home in 50 years, just talking at each other with your hearing aids off." Izzie commented, "Hilarious." She sighed and stared down at her potato salad, "Oh, I love lunch."

"You okay, Iz?" Camilla asked, "You've been acting weird lately."

"I'm fine, I'm fine." Izzie waved her off, "Just hungry!"

Once Meredith and Cristina left to go scrub into their surgery and Camilla made her way back to the clinic. Her and George walked around, giving check ups and shots. George eventually went to go study, leaving Camilla to help around the clinic herself.

The clinic closed at 7pm, Camilla stretched and began to clean up, "We got it here." The clinic nurse told her,

"Thanks." Camilla smiled before leaving.

She walked past a room and spotted Owen inside, typing on the computer. She paused for a moment, watching him editing the schedule. Camilla narrowed her eyes before going inside and pushing him aside,

"What are you doing?" Owen asked, watching as she pulled the keyboard towards her,

"Assigning myself to trauma with you tomorrow." Dr. Nieves answered,

"Cam-"

"I'm a big girl, Owen. I can handle my share of trauma. And I get to decide when I've had enough." Camilla stated, "It's gonna take a lot more than a bad dream to scare me off."

Owen reached for the outside of her thighs and brought her a little closer, "It's a lot more than a bad dream."

"I know." She ran her fingers through his hair before leaning down and kissing the top of his head, "But you don't get to decide for me."
