To my defeat I trudge over to where I see Cole and Nick yelling at each other.
"Hi" I unenthusiastically say.
"Harry tell this fucking idiot the pole isn't meant to bend like that" Nick says practically grabbing the introduction manual from Cole's hand.
"Well maybe if you hadn't chosen this spot where the ground is fucked , I wouldn't have to bend the pole" Cole yells
I turn to my left and find a flat rock to sit on. I try to pull out my book and read but the boys yelling at each other would've drowned out any focus I had on my book.
"Can you help instead of sitting around" Cole rudely says. I glance up noticing the boys haven't made any progress with the tent.
"Leave him alone he doesn't need to help you at all Cole" Nick looks at me with a slight smile "We've got this" he gently says to me then returning his glare back to Cole.
"Your just in love with him, if not you'd be making him help" Cole drops the pole his holding and looks directly at Nick .
"I'm not the one who confessed to liking him and fake fucking a toy to pretend it was Harry you sick fuck!" Nick spits at Cole
"Oh yeah ? I was drunk, and Harry likes me more anyways, he kissed me before that night at Hunters" Cole says
I'm just sitting here not knowing what to do with the two boys who I never thought in a million years I'd have a chance with.
"Yeah? Well I've been a better friend to him than you've ever been to any of us" Nick yelled
Me being done listening to this knowing it'll go on for ages I decided to get up and start walking to where Hunter was.
"You made him leave!" I hear Cole yell at Hunter in the background
When I finally get to Hunter's tend which was on the other side of the campground I see that he's camping with Mikey.
"Just the two of you?" I ask
"Yeah" Mikey says
"Only a few had to camp with three, who are you with?"
"Unfortunately I'm stuck with two fighting children" I say to Mikey
"Hunter and I deliberately moved over here the second those two started at each other" Mikey says shaking his head and looking to the ground.
"That's just part of it" Hunter says looking up at me after nailing a screw into the dirt.
"Your lucky you didn't have to sit on a 4 hour bus ride with them behind you"
"What we're they arguing about?" I ask the boys
"You" Mikey scoffs
"Really?" I ask in disbelief that they'd be arguing about little old me
"Yeah" Hunter starts taking a glance at Mikey
"Not even I've had two boys fight over me before" Mikey says
"Mikey's bi and he came from the same school as Marco" Hunter says
"Oh then I suppose you know how much of a asshole my ex is?" I ask Mikey
"Sure do, he tells everyone that people hated him because he's gay, no that's not it. We all hated him because because he outed me when I wouldn't be in a public relationship with him" Mikey says
"I'm not surprised with that one" I reply
"He thought he was doing everyone a solid in outing me but it backfired and everyone thought he was a dick for doing so" Mikey tells me
"All done" Hunter says standing up and offering Mikey and I a power bar. Count on Hunter to be the one person in this whole class to pack workout foods and drinks
"Camp with us if you want " Hunter says
"There's room" Mikey adds
"I think I should stay with the Cole and Nick to make sure they don't end up killing each other" I say
"Suit yourself" Mikey shrugs
"Mikey and I are going to the basketball court with Alex and Blake if you wanna join?" Hunter asks
"Yeah I'll catch up with you guys" I say
"Just don't bring Cole and Nick if they are gonna fight" Mikey adds
"Trust me.." I say "I'll try sneak off without them if they are still being the way they are"
"Ok campers, Lunch is in 15 and Dinner will be at 7 tonight, don't be late... oh and no being loud after 9" I squint to see my brother saying this through a megaphone while he stood on a chair.
"Is that Jace Harrison?"
"Jace is so hot"
"Look how strong he is"
I turn to see 3 girls from class next to their tend practically frothing over my brother. One of them look at me and then they all do and turn red with embarrassment.
"It's fine, Jace loves the attention" I turn and say to them to which makes them all giggle
"Harry come sit with us" Mikey says draping a arm around my shoulder.
And with that Mikey, Hunter and I head up to the dining hall
I like this Mikey kid. I've only known him a few days. He seemed like a good friend and surprisingly I wasn't attracted to him. I won't deny he is very attractive, definitely my type but I don't know why but I can't see him in that way. Maybe he'll just be good friend to keep around. I can definitely see myself talking to him about all my boy problems. Unlike Ava he seems like he'd be able to keep quiet in awkward situations. Speaking of Ava I haven't seen her since she got here.
"Where even is Ava?" I ask the two walking beside me
"No idea, I think she got paired with Misty and Bella" Hunter says
"No clue who they are" Mikey chirps
"They are both hot as fuck man" Hunter says
"Then I guess you'll have to introduce me" Mikey says.
We sit down on a table that Blake and Alex have already occupied.
"Where's your boyfriends?" Blake asks me peering behind me to check if Cole and Nick were behind me.
"I filled him in on the ear rape from the two on the bus" Hunter says sitting down.
"I can't believe this class has so many gay kids" Alex says then quickly looking at Mikey and I "no offence you two , we like you"
I roll my eyes and notice the table number '3' in the middle of the table.
"They'll call our number then we can go get food" Mikey says noticing me staring at the number
"My old school did this"
"Ah" I nod
"Okay campers I'm going to call up your number and your table needs to come up in a orderly fashion" I hear Jace say from behind me. I guess they are making Jace do all the leading rolls. He wouldn't mind, he liked being the teachers pet. And he loved the attention, maybe he was the one who was meant to get famous.
"Jace are you single ?" I hear one of the girls call out , I notice their whole table now looking at him with heart eyes.
"Ok girls that's enough" Mr King and a couple other teachers and camp leaders step forward.
"Table two" Jace calls out after table one had gotten their food.
I watch a few guys stand up then I notice Cole and Nick fighting for who's not last in line.
"Cole you get in my face once again I'm going to beat you up" Nick says loud enough for the whole hall to hear
"You won't do shit in front of the teachers here" Cole says back in the same tone as Nick before.
"Control your boyfriends" Blake tells me
Yep , this is going to be a long three days
