I had been a little more of a week. Walking. Stopping, walking, repeat. Over and over. Alya had grown tired. To the point where i had to carry her like a little girl. Fast asleep in my arms. Ive tried to keep her fed. Though still, a few ribs show, and so do mine. She points out that i can see my own rib cage, its strange to me.

The arms of the windmill move. Never stopping in the wind. The old.abandoned windmill lay looking over a field of withering crops. I sit on the small. Torn mattress that lay there. Ayla on a different bed just staring at the wall. Our gazes flicked onto the sairs when we hear footsteps. "Hello?" i asked. Standing my wings folded against my back. "Well. well well. You havent changed a bit." i grow weary. The sharp sound of my sword being pulled from its sheath filled the damp room "of course. Classic phoenix. Always resotring to violence." ayla looked at me paniced. "In the name of the royal guard show your self!" my teeth clenched. "The royal guard? For who?" the voice laughed "the kingdom is in ruins! Who are you REALLY protecting?" the figure finally reached the top. My eyes widen "eagle. Leave now." i said. Suppressing the urge to unsheath my sword fully "why? Are you going to...kill me?" he said. In a unbothered tone "just as you did to them? The hundreds of innocent children and people you killed?" alya shot a glare of suspicion "dont twist the truth eagle! We all know i didnt do that" he ticced his tongue. His gold/ yellow tinted wings unfolding. "And lying to the kings heir? That we can add onto the list. The blood still stains your hands pheonix. You call me the bad guy yet i am clean?" he said with a cackle "pheonix..that isnt true. Is it?" before i could speak eagle interrupted "oh but it is! Why did you think she never spoke? You REALLY trusted her?" aylas usually soft gaze burned the back of my neck "dont twist my words. I never ment it and i regret each and every moment" i snarled unsheathing the sword fully holding it at my side "are you gong to kill me?" he burst into laughter "you would never kill kin." he open his mouth to continue but "STOP IT!" i screamed. Lurching forward and holding him against the wall "YOUR CLEAN BECUSE YOU MADE ME DO IT" i lurched my blade forward a centimeter away from the vain in his neck "you will FOrEVER BE THIS MONSTER AND THERE IS NO MORE LITTLE SISTER TO DO YOUR BIDDING" eagle open his mouth to speak again before my blade slashed right through the left side of his neck i flinged him backwards over the balcony railing and watched as he fell. Lifelessly i turned back to ayla. Who was backed up into a corner. "That wasnt true!" i spat dropping my sword down as it clanked. Then fell silent "i believe you! I really do! But...." m eyebrows scrunched "you dont! You think im a killer dont you?!" ayla curled up. Her eyes welling with fear. I flick my dagger from its sheith on my waist "do you want me to prove your point" my eyes blazed. Burning her with my gaze. Before i knew, my eyes werent the only fire. My usually. Ashy grey wings lit into flames. Unfolding and sending sparks everywhere. "Pheonix you need to stop! Your gonna burn us to the ground!" she said panicking. She whisked her head around before seeing a bucket full to the brine with water. She grabbed it and threw it onto me. The flames dieing down.. A pile of ash fell were my wings once were hitting the ground and flowing away in the breeze. As new wings sprouted from my back, flicking upwards before folding over. Aylas gaze was tainted with fear. The empty bucket clutched in her hands as if for support "is he..?" she asked dropping her head lower "yes. He is. And the world is better off with out him" i hissed "we need to leave, if he has any friends their definitely on their way." i held a hand out. But to my surprise ayla stood up on her own "you have a point." i felt as my heart lurched forward as if to leap out of my skin at any moment she...she believes him.. I curl my arm back. And sped down the stairs quickly. The door screeched as i opened it before falling off its hinges entirely. I dropped it. It tore. Right through the middle as it fell. Splitting appart. Its stwo sides shooting in diffrent directions. Ayla flinched. Moving to my other side,
