He scowls at me for a bit. "Again, there's nothing between me and Iwa-chan," he says as his cheeks flush. "However..."

Without me realizing it, Oikawa has lead me to a way quieter road, one that not many people use. It does take longer to reach the city when you go like this, after all.

"Mattsun," he starts as he notices we're alone. "You have a crush Makki, right?"

"Hmm?" I raise an eyebrow. "I don't know how you came to that conclusion, but..."

"Even Iwa-chan doesn't give me such deadly glares," the brunet laughs shortly. "I've always seen how oddly close you two were, but I didn't think you would actually like him."

I scoff. "That's all? I had a headache and you were screaming. Of course I'm glaring at you."

Another chuckle. "And yet you had this 'oh no, I messed up'-kind of expression written all over your face when I looked at you. On top of that, you noticed that I wanted to talk about something before I had said anything. You knew exactly what was coming."

"You're imagining things." I try to end the conversation before I run out of excuses. "There's no way... I would..."

Damn it. I can't deny it. I should've stopped talking. Now I'm just exposing myself.

Oikawa grins. "Come on, Mattsun, you can tell me~"

"For someone who won't admit that he has a crush, you're talking quite a lot."

"As if you ever believed me," he pouts. "Well, it's not like I believe you, either."

Really? Just because I glared at him for a second? I mean, he's right, but I don't understand how one little slip up could have lead to this. There wasn't that much jealousy in my eyes, was there?

"If you ever try or say anything, I'll make you regret it," I sigh. Although I won't blindly fall for stupid little tricks like the two of them do, I don't want him to mess it up for me.

"Eh? Seriously?!" Like a little kid getting candy, his face lights up. "Since when? I never noticed!"

Of course he didn't. "Since before I met you. And I'm trying my very best to keep it hidden, so you better shut up about it."

He smiles brightly. "Right, right~ Don't worry, I'm very good at keeping secrets~"

No, he's not. Especially when it's about things like this. That's exactly why I'm worried. "I'll have Iwa kill you if anybody else ever finds out."

"Guess you can be scary too, huh?" So he says, but he looks happy. "Well, I guess it's only fair that I confirm your suspicions, too. I like Iwa..."

"Suspicions? Right. We totally weren't sure of it," I chuckle softly while my friend turns bright red.

All of a sudden, Oikawa stops walking. "I never... I've never admitted it out loud before..." he mumbles while hiding his face in his hands, making the words nearly inaudible.

"What's wrong?" I, too, have never spoken about these feelings. From the looks of it, it isn't very fun to straight up say it. Luckily, I wasn't planning on doing that anyways...

"It's more embarrassing than I thought," the other cries. "Damn it..."

"There, there." I pat his back for a second. "Just breathe and calm down. The store will close if we don't hurry."

He turns to me a bit surprised, then looks at his phone to verify my words. "Ah, you're right!" Even though he is still blushing and I can almost hear how loud his heart is beating, he manages to collect himself. "We should go!"

I follow him silently, hoping this conversation is over and this topic will never be brought up again. There's no chance he'll keep quiet, but hey, a man can dream.

"So, what do you want me to teach you?" I ask when we enter the store. "Do you want me to make dinner, or?"

"I was thinking of snacks!" Oikawa answers excitedly. "Surely there's something small we can start with?"

After weighing our options for a second, I make a proposal. "There's a pretty easy recipe for chocolate chip soy cookies. I'm sure I have it on my phone somewhere..."

I reach behind me, grasping thin air. Only then do I realize how light my shoulders are and how easy it has been to walk around. "Wait. Did I not take my bag with me?"

Oikawa checks it out, as if I need a confirmation. "Yup, seems like it."

"Damn. I must've left it at school..." I remember packing everything, but I never got a chance to actually pick it up before I got dragged away. "I hope the teacher noticed. My phone, my wallet, my keys..."

My friend frowns slightly, but I can see yet another glimmer in his eyes. "So you can't go home now?"

Yet another setback. "I guess not."

"So..." Childish as he is, he grins. "Sleepover?"

A whole night alone with this guy, right after he found out about my secret, doesn't sound all that smart. But I don't have much of a choice. I can't really contact anyone, and I doubt he'd let me borrow his phone. "Sure. Thanks."

"Woo!~" he cheers. The air between us really has become a little lighter. Maybe it is fine like this. Maybe.

"Can you look up the recipe? I'm sure any site will do if you're fine with cookies," I say, changing the topic back to what we really came here for.

"Yeah, sure," he replies while reaching for his pocket. "And since you're staying over, I'll be making my best dinner as well~"

I laugh softly. "Hmm. And what's that? Is your best the one thing you haven't burned to a crisp?"

"Wha-- Hey! I'm not the best, but I'm quite okay at cooking!" The brown-haired boy pouts. "You like pancakes?"

I can't help but laugh even more. "Fine by me. Sounds simple enough. Even you can't mess that up."

"Mattsun! You're so mean!" he cries.

"You like mean people, don't you?" I continue. "You're into Iwa, after all."

"Stop! Stop talking!" Once more, Oikawa turns red as he quickly starts tapping on his screen. "Okay, brown sugar! Let's grab it!"

~Hell yeah we love some Mattsun and Oiks friendship. I mean, this is a MatsuHana fluff, so they will be and stay friends, but who knows what other people might think? Hmmm... Also, uni has started for me and I am sosososo busy with and stressed out for a lot of things, so it'll take me a while to update this and my IwaOi. Sorry, but I know y'all will understand. Have a nice day my sweethearts! -J~
