'click, clack, click, clack'
your heeled shoes hit the hard surfaced floor as you walked through the busy halls of your depressingly dull school.

you hadn't ever truly enjoyed school, apart from the occasional free periods and half days, you spent most of your time reading - the boys in books never seemed dull or like a bore for they were created for someone who could only ever truly find happiness in fictional men.

as you walked through the halls, staring lowly at your book as you turned the thin white pages you felt yourself trip over what was most likely a shoe, though before you could feel your body hit the ground you found yourself being held up by a pair of unfamiliar arms.

'oh, im sorry.' you said as you picked yourself back up out of the unfamiliar persons arms and walked over to a dark, wooden door that read 'ENGLISH', placing your hand on the metal door handle, gripping it and pulling it open, you walk into the classroom placing your bag and taking out your pencil case and books.
the classroom was filled with the sounds of the kids at the back snickering at an immature joke a boy had made and some loud conversations.

'Alright class, settle down now.' the class looked over but went back to what they had been doing before in a heartbeat. 'I SAID, SETTLE DOWN.' the teacher spoke loudly but clearly, instantly everyone had sat down and looked to the front with wide eyes, 'now, you may call me the following:' the tall man spoke as he tossed his curly yet messy black hair out of his eyes, you couldnt help but be mesmerized by his looks, though he was your teacher, you cant be thinking of him like this.

he wrote down the words 'sir, professor and mr.' in a list down on the chalkboard in pure white chalk, the chalk dust fell on his strong forearms as if it were snow falling on a tree during winter. 'For the next 4 weeks we will be learning about greek pre-fixes.' he said, walking past students desks and handing out homework, the loud school bell rang, indicating the end of a lesson and the start of lunch. a herd of students packed their things and rushed out the door, desperate to leave the classroom.

you were the only student still left in the classroom, you stood up from your desk and looked over to your professor, his legs crossed and placed up on his desk, his head pointed down at the book he was holding in his hands. 'excuse me, sir?' you said, walking over to his desk, sheet of homework in your hand, he looked up at you - 'oh, may i help you, miss y/l/n?' he spoke softly, like the wind blowing through trees after a storm. 'oh, uhm - i was just hoping you could help me understand the homework. I dont quite get it.' you spoke, looking down at your shoes.

'ah yes, of course. why dont you meet me here after school and ill explain it, alright?' he said, expressing a soft smile.
you nodded and made your way over to the door, letting yourself out.
