The slamming sound that filled the room surprised everyone.

When they looked, they saw two particularly angry people leaning in from their standing places, both of their hands on the table, indicating that they both somehow slammed the table at the same time.

George let Lady Puffy do the talking first.

"Enough."

Her tone was one of a mother put off the edge by several greedy, unruly children.

"You are Royalty, not kids in a playground spat."

Hannah seemed truly shocked at her captain of the guard's interval.

Clay zipped his mouth shut as he fell under George's angry glare.

In the corner, not caught by anyone, the young "scribe" with unkempt blonde hair accidentally jumped in his chair, momentarily dropping his quill.

"I am ashamed that my kingdom was represented like this this morning."

No one knew if Puffy was talking about the Kingdom of Dream or of the Elfishes. No one cared.

They were all too busy looking ashamed. George joined her angry belittling of Clay and Hannah.

"What are you two, five?" He asked spitefully, as the enchantments floating around his bindings now seemed to spark angrily. He turned his attention to his own prince.

"Clay. I don't even know what to say to you."

The Captain of Guards both leaned out from the table, and turned towards the door.

"Come find us when you can at pretend to get along. Or at least when you can pretend to be grown-ups." The doors slammed and then they were gone.
