Colt groaned. "It was a long fucking time ago."

"One of the times he and Rach broke up. We were all supposed to go to Aspen to go skiing, obviously Rachel wasn't coming, but Mel was so Colt decided he needed a vacation girlfriend so Melody could go tell Rachel all about the babe he showed up on the trip with."

I stared at my future husband, slack jawed. "That is AWFUL. Like that is an actual horrible thing to do, both to the girl and Rachel."

"I was like twenty," Colt rationalized. "It was right before she found out she was pregnant."

"She was a hot little piece of tail, too," Carter stated. "What was her name? Lita? Lena?"

"I don't remember," Colt mumbled.

"Liar!" I exclaimed, pointing an accusatory finger. "You always do that when you don't wanna tell me! I know her, don't I?" I glanced to Carter who was just grinning like a menace in the backseat. "Carter, tell me."

"Carter, I will fucking murder you," Colt snarled.

"Well, you've definitely seen her a few times..."

"Cart!"

"Maybe pretty often..."

"Carter, shut the fuck up..."

"At least once a week..."

"It was Andie, okay?!" Colt suddenly exclaimed. "Fucking Andrea Lennon."

"Andie at the grocery store?!" I cried. "No wonder she looks at me like she wants to spit in my produce every time we go in there! I can't believe you didn't tell me!"

"It was literally four days," Colt stated. "I invited her on the trip and before it was even over, Rach and I were working things out again."

"I am... stunned, Colton. Stunned."

Colt groaned and tipped his head back on the seat. "Carter, you're fucking dead."

Carter just chuckled like a Disney villain in the backseat. "Oh, this is great."

"Fucking payback, bro. Keep both eyes open."

"I feel like I don't even know you."

Colt scoffed. "C'mon, babe. Do I know about every hookup you've ever had? Be real."

"You'd know about them if we had to see them regularly, Colton," I stated, but a laugh burst through. Pretty soon I was doubled over in the seat, clutching my stomach.

Colt turned and slid his sunglasses down his nose. "You ain't even actually mad, are you?"

"Nope," I laughed. "But I do need to find out her days off so I can do my grocery shopping then before I get run through the deli slicer or something."

Colt sighed and shook his head. "You're an asshole, too."

"You are not living this one down."

"Yep. Had a feeling."

"I should send her a wedding invite," I grinned.

"Ooh! I'll bring her as my date!" Carter offered.

"Perfect!" I exclaimed, slapping Carter a high five.

"Fûck off. Both of you," Colt groaned.

"Never. You're marrying this, remember?" I leaned over the console and pressed my lips to his cheek. "You're about to be stuck, buddy boy. Get used to it."

"I think I'll survive."

"If he doesn't, I'll be your shoulder to cry on," Carter offered.

"Fûck you, Carter. God," Colt sighed.
