XiangRene are actually married and they have been together much longer then we think and they met through Xiang's various holidays with his family to Korea to the North Gyeongsang Province - they got married prior to their debut

RUMOUR 3 - (July 2021)
The reason that Irene's hiatus was extended for so long is because she and Xiang are married and she got pregnant and gave birth to their first child

Labels/Artist response: SM Ent didn't respond to the rumour but P-Nation denied the rumour and said that Xiang is not a father and is still dating Irene and is not married to her

RUMOUR 4 - (November 2020)
After Irene's scandal came out someone also decided to say that Irene was cheating on Xiang with them.
Reaction to the rumour: The XiangRene fans were fuming if it was true, Xiang's fans were fuming, AhGaSi were fuming and Stan Twitter was also fuming
Labels/Artist response: Both SM Ent and JYP Ent Ignored the rumour but Xiang stood up for his girlfriend, and very angrily shut down the rumour on his twitch and other SNS saying that Irene has never cheated on him and saying that she is not that kind of person. This was also the first time the public have ever seen angry and not cool and collected which was really scary, after Xiang addressed the rumours fans started apologising to Irene and started doing their own digging and investigating only to find out that the person was not even Korean and all the information that they gave was false as it didn't correspond with reality (they said that the affair was February 2020 but in February 2020 Xiang and Irene were in Taiwan visiting his friends and family)
He also secretly helped Irene to press charges against the person that falsely accused her of cheating on him with a character defamation lawsuit which was kept on the low and also helped her win the case.

RUMOUR 5 - (January 2022)
Xiang was Cheating on Irene with Seolhyun of AOA, because he was spotted at an expensive jewellery store jewellery and she and Ex-bandmate Shin Jimin were seen with him and Xiang then treated the two to a nice lunch.
Reaction to the rumour: The XiangRene fans were furious but gave him the benefit of doubt because he is friends with these two and because everyone known how much Xiang LOVES Irene and Stan Twitter were absolutely fuming at Xiang and calling him horrible names.
Labels/Artist response: Both Xiang and P-NATION denied the rumour and said he has NEVER and will NEVER cheat on anyone especially Irene, the love of his life, he explained that he went to the jewellery store with the two because they are his friends and he wanted their opinion on something like he has done with many people before buying the item.
