You Met His ex

*Tylers POV*

I walked inside after saying bye to Rudy and walked over to Kyson who was now laying on the couch, "How are you feeling bubba?" I was feeling his forehead to see how warm he was 

He looked up at me, "My throat and stomach hurts" 

"How long ago did this start?" I asked Jake 

"I'd say after lunch probably, or when'd you start feeling sick Ky?" Jake said unbagging the stuff I brought home

"My throat was sore a little this morning but got worse after throwing up" He said 

I sat down next to him, "Did you eat something for lunch?" 

Jake nodded his head, "He had many half a plate of pasta, then threw up so technically he doesn't have much in his stomach" 

"I'm going to heat up some soup for you bubba, think you can eat a little bit then take some medicine and we can cuddle and watch any movie you want?" I asked him 

Kyson cuddled up next to me, "Sounds good momma" 

"Also, I have a surprise for you! Rudy picked these for you" I said getting up and showing him the ice cream 

"Is that the guy that dropped you off?" He asked me 

I nodded my head starting the stove, "Yeah, I went to lunch with him" 

"Is he someone you're dating?" Kyson asked me 

I looked at Jake then back at Kyson, "Not right now, no"

"Can I meet him?" Kyson asked before coughing 

I rubbed his back, "Maybe in a few weeks. Let's get you feeling better first okay?"

Jake brought over a bowl of soup for him and Kyson started eating it, not much but enough that he was able to take some medicine. I grabbed him his gatorade and got him a heated blanket since he started shivering, I texted both Rachel and Jessica letting them know that Kyson wasn't feeling well and Rachel decided she'll stay at her boyfriends place for a few nights and Jessica was working lates as a nurse anyways so she wasn't too worried. I let Kyson put on a movie of his choice and Jake and I both laid down with him on the couch until he fell asleep. 

"So how was the date?" Jake asked quietly 

I smiled to myself, "it was really good, went back to his place and I got to meet the cast of his show and his ex" 

He looked at me confused, "You met his ex?" 

"Yeah, she was pretty nice to be honest. Her and Rudy stepped outside and talked for alittle bit and then you called so I asked him to drive me back. But they're all super nice" I said feeling Kysons forehead again 

"How's he feel?" Jake asked rubbing his back gently 

"He still feels really warm, do we think it's worth getting him checked for covid? I mean Jessica does work in the hospital. There's a chance she brought it home and he got it?" I asked starting to really worry 

Jake calmed me down, "Ty, his symptoms don't match up with the virus. I think maybe he just has a regular cold or at most the flu" 

I took a deep breath trying to relax, "Okay... I just worry about my boy" I said gently brushing his hair out of his face 

Jake looked at me and Kyson smiling, "You're a really great mom Ty, can I carry him upstairs so he can sleep?" 

I nodded my head and turned off the tv and watched Jake carry Kyson upstairs. I checked my phone while putting everything away and cleaning up downstairs and saw that Rudy had texted me.
