Brunch Date part 1

*7 AM The Next Day* *Tylers POV* 

My alarm went off at 6:30 this morning so I could get myself up and ready to get Kyson up and ready for school. Since covid is still a thing, his school has made the change to be fully online, so I figured I'd get up early today to make sure I'm able to get him online and signed into class early. Jake texted me saying he'd be on his way over around 7, so I got Kyson up and made his breakfast and extra for Jake and whoever else wanted some. 

The doorbell rang, "I'll get it!" Kyson yelled getting up to get the door 

"Hey Kyson!" Jake said giving him a big hug, "You ready for school?" 

Kyson went back to finishing his food, "Mhm! Are you going to be here all day?" 

"No, you're moms heading out for a little bit, so I'm just keeping you on track with school" He said walking over to me saying hey 

"Thank you again Jake, I seriously owe you." I gave him a big hug 

He leaned against the counter, "Nah, don't worry about it. You know I love hanging out with him" 

"Kyson go get dressed and brush your teeth. I'm going to show Jake all the stuff he needs for your school okay?" I said kissing Kysons head

"Okay mom!" He said heading upstairs 

"I feel so bad leaving you here with him on his first day of online school...." I said looking at Jake 

"It'll be easy, don't feel bad. You haven't been on a date in years, you deserve time off to chill and enjoy yourself" He said to me cleaning up the mess 

"It isn't a date, we're just getting coffee and some food" I said smiling at him 

He smirked, "If he pays, it's a date" 

I playfully hit him, "Shush haha I don't plan on being super long, honestly an hour and a half maybe two at most. If you need me back here, call me and I'll head home rig-" 

"Tyler.... Chill, it's online school. We're going to be fine, I have his schedule, I know when his lunch break is. We'll go outside and play when he gets time to, I got this. Take as much time as you need" Jake said trying to calm me down, "Go get yourself ready, you look like a mess" 

I rolled my eyes at him, "Geez thanks Jake, Love you too" 

I texted Rudy to let him know I'll be free in an hour
