"Mmkay, too much," I murmur, breaking the kiss after he slips a hand around to rest it underneath my chest.
"Sorry," he hums, pressing a kiss on my jawline, knowing how much I like it.
"S'kay," I sigh with a small smile.
It might be silly, but it's a line I haven't wanted to cross yet either, him touching my chest or between my legs, and he does try his best to respect my boundaries. Sometimes he gets a little carried away, but I know he doesn't mean too, so I'm usually okay with it, I just have to slow him down.
"Okay," he murmurs before kissing me on my lips. "I love you."
"I love you too," I giggle, letting my fingers play with the hair at the base of his neck while I rest my arms on his shoulders. "I should probably get home."
"What? Why? It's only 9:00."
"I'm meeting with the girls to go shop for last minute school stuff."
"Stay and eat with me."
"I need to shower."
"Perfect, you can do that with me too."
"Lucas," I huff.
"I would say I'm sorry, but I'm not," he smirks.
"Oh, I know you're not," I shake my head.
"Please stay. I've hardly seen you this week and school starts in a couple days."
"We still have the next two days for just us."
"Uh, right about that...I'm running doubles both days, a welcome back from coach," he tells me, mentioning his head coach, Coach Day.
"Wait, I thought we were spending all day together on Tuesday?"
"Sorry babe. He only told us yesterday."
"Luc," I whine, disappointed about our change in plans for our last day of summer. I know how much football means to him, it's an outlet for him, it's why I spent most of my summer working with him to help improve his game. I learned about the game, how to read plays and how to actually play to some degree, all for him, it might sound dumb of me to have done that just for some boy, but the game is important to him so I want to support him in any way I can.
"I'm sorry babe, it's out of my control."
"I know, I'm just bummed out." I tell him. "I was kinda looking forward to having you all to myself for more than a day a week," I continue.
He's only had Sundays off since camp started, which also happened to be the week of his birthday, and since I traveled mainly to New York or California for some of the summer races during that time, there were a couple weeks we didn't even get to see each other in person at all.
It was hard not seeing him much last month, but we also weren't in the same place for a lot of it, so it wasn't too bad, but now we will be home together, and I feel like we still won't see each other much outside of school.
"You sure you're okay?" he pushes, guiding some of my fallen strands behind my ear, in a form of comfort.
"Yeah," I whisper with a small shrug, partially lying.
On one hand, I'm okay with things, but on the other, I'm not. I know this is part of being in a relationship, not being able to see each other every second like we want to, I just didn't expect to feel disappointed about it.
"I know it's not what we planned, but I can come over right after practice is out and spend the rest of the day with you."
"Oh, all, five hours?"
