As the reign of Tarkasur continued at swarg, the audacity of the Asuras increased day by day as they obtained boon from Brahmadev.
Few such asurs were Sumbh-Nisumbh, Chand-Mund and Raktbeej, who by obtaining boons had become almost invincible. They tormented the other living beings.
The devotees prayed to devtas to save them but what good were they who themselves have been lost their home swarglok and were roaming here and there for ages.
Seeing the helpless condition of devtas, the asurs thought that this is the best time to eliminate them and since then have been behind the devtas.
At this point only one could help them, but how when she herself was unaware of her true self.
