𝟑𝟎 𝐃𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐥

She had to walk under the rain to the front of the gate but she had been standing there for almost fifteen minutes and the gate man, Jubril wasn't opening the gate.

But lucky for her after her fifteenth time pressing the doorbell, he finally came out holding an umbrella.

He was very surprised to see Lola and the fact that she was already soaked with rain. He kept apologizing over and over again. But Lola waved it off and she borrowed his umbrella to get to the front of the main house.

She entered the house drenched in rain. Her tees and jeans were soaked with water. And she was shivering in her cloth. The house was quiet but it was the same as the last time she left it.

Slowly, so that she won't slip and fall, she walked to the stairs and up to Demilade room. Demilade sleeping figure was the first thing she noticed when she walked into the room and an unconscious smile spread on her face. She was about to walk over to his side when she realized she was still in her wet clothes. So she took them off before stepping fully into the room. She spread her bag and whatever was wet in it on the polished table in the room. She planned to take them away before Demilade will wake up because that was his reading table and he won't entertain anything that wasn't a book or related to reading on it.

She went to Demilade closet and took a cleaned folded ash towel, wrapping it around herself before going over to take her wet clothes on the floor, and taking them to Demilade bathroom. She washed the wet clothes and then took a cold shower because that would prevent her from getting cold.

When she returned from the bathroom, she remembered that she wasn't with anything that she will need or extra clothes. She didn't plan on coming over to Demilade's house that day. Neither was he expecting her. She had told him she won't be able to make it the day he was returning home. Firstly, because she has places to deliver clothes to and she knew he wouldn't entertain her very much since he needed to rest. He was definitely going to use almost the whole day on his bed. And she needed to give him that rest.

But after the call from Deborah who wasn't expecting his return that week because of it, she wasn't at home to prepare something for her boss since she had gone to see her parents in another state. That had been the reason she changed her mind. Moreover, she really wanted to see her boyfriend in person. It's been a month and nine days since she last saw him face to face. And she really misses him.

Her goal was to come over to his house that day and help him with something to eat and any other necessary thing then return home. And that is why she came without any of the things she will need or extra clothes. And she didn't tell her father either. She planned on bringing them over after she return home and ensuring that she tell her father.

Now her clothes are drenched with rain and too wet to wear again. Moreover, she already washed them. Thanks to the shower cap that she always has in her bag, her hair would have been wet too. She was still thinking about what to do next when she heard Demilade stir on the bed and that drew her attention. He had turned to the other side of the bed.

The corner of Lola's lips twitched to a small smile. He looked adorable in his sleep and how he lay on the bed. And she wondered how someone could be so hot even while sleeping. Despite his big stature, the bed looked like it could swallow him. With the towel still wrapped on her chest, she went to the bed and climbed up beside him.

He didn't even stir and Lola chuckled. Here was her boyfriend who rarely sleep deeply. He wakes up at every little sound that is made. But he didn't even realize there is a presence in his room. She was going to mock him with it later on.

She watched his sleeping face with a smile plastered on her face. His face was calm. No line of worries or tension or seriousness either. He was sleeping peacefully and comfortably. She used her hand to trace the outline of his jaw before taking them away. She had missed him so much. She was only able to grace herself with just a phone call and sometimes a video call and that is when he is not been distracted by Fareed and Adam. Those two were going to get it from her the next time they meet.
