vinnie and i have been in a long distance relationship for about a year now.

we started dating 3 years ago but i left washington for college in new york and vinnie departed for los angeles.

he would come and visit me for a week every 2 months. we always made time to see each other and to call each other. we would facetime multiple times a day and sometimes we i would hop on discord and join him in a twitch stream.

when it came to school holidays and breaks i would fly to washington and meet him there so we could not only spend time together but also see out families.

he had stayed with me this week and now it was time for him to leave back to LA.

he loaded his cases in my car, i hated driving in the city but i was also cool because some weekends i would drive me and friends to new jersey or maybe to upstate new york to spend some time away from the rush of the city.

we drove the 45 minutes to jfk airport and i got out to help him with his bags.

"i miss you already and i can still see you" i spoke holding tears back.

"i'm gonna miss you so much, but i'll see you in a few weeks. you're still coming to LA right?" 

"yeah i hope so" i smiled.

"don't go, please" tears flooded down my face and i couldn't stop.

he brushed his thumbs over my cheek catching the tears.

"you'll see me again soon, and the time will fly by" he smiled, his eyes glassy from the tears pooling.

"i love you so much, vin" 

"i love you even more, darling" he smiled down at me.

we hugged again and he gave me a few more kisses and then he had to leave.

after watching him go through the doors i got back into my car.

i let the tears fall, i knew that by the time i got back he'd be flying and i wouldn't be able to text him.

as i reached my apartment i crashed on my bed, i grabbed my laptop and put on twilight to make me feel a little happier.

i was awoken by my phone ringing, it was vinnie.

"hey, did you get back okay?" he said

i was just happy to see his face again.

"yeah there wasn't much traffic on the way back which was good"

"i miss you so much, it's only been about 6 hours since i left you"he smiled.

i started to tear up again, it was getting late here and i had class tomorrow but it was still only about 9pm for vinnie.

i placed my phone down on the shelf in the bathroom and washed my face and cleaned my teeth wtih vinnie still watching me.

"it's like i'm still there with you" he smiled.

"i know, it feels strangely normal" i laughed.

"i'll be there again with you in no time, don't worry love"

i smiled and climbed into bed.

"i have class tomorrow so i'm gonna read and fall asleep, you can stay on call if you want" i told him.

"of course i will" i laid my phone down on the pillow next to my head and began reading my book, it didn't take long before my eyes started to feel heavy and i fell asleep.
