Niki woke up to the default phone alarm at 8:02 AM. I don't know why she didn't choose 8:00, or 8:05, but it worked for her. She peeked out the window of her cramped apartment. There was snow piling outside the shabby apartment building.
Niki stretched a bit, then grabbed her phone to scroll through social media for a minute or two. She noticed Wilbur was in Berlin for some convention. Quickly, Niki switched from Instagram to her messaging app.
Her and Wilbur had been dating for almost a year now, but Niki had to head back to Berlin and they had been long distance for around 7 months. Who said long distance didn't work??

Niki couldn't help but smile at her boyfriend, clutching her phone close to her chest. She hoped Wilbur made it over safely; the hardcore snow outside concerned her. She headed to the small kitchen to prepare breakfast for Will, despite the fact he probably ate lots on the plane.
She cooked some pancakes and sausages, and got some pink lemonade out to wash it down. Niki then made some coffee because she realized Wilbur would probably prefer coffee to pink lemonade.
Around 30 minutes later, there was a knock on Niki's door. She flung it open, and to no surprise, Wilbur was waiting for her, a suitcase in hand.
In an excited flurry, Niki wrapped her arms around Will and kissed his passionately though she couldn't help but smile and giggle. It had been 7 months! Niki could finally see her boyfriend! They pulled back from the kiss to retrieve some air and Niki noticed Wilbur was heavily coated in snow. Wilbur laughed in response.
"It sure snows a lot in Berlin, doesn't it?" Niki smiled and gestured for the taller to sit down.
"I made you breakfast! And also coffee. You must be freezing, why don't you get changed? I've got some blankets. We don't have to eat at the table we could watch some tv!" Wilbur smiled.
"You truly care too much, Nikita. I will gladly accept your offer to change my clothes though, because I'm hella cold. Also I would love to watch some tv with you."
"Great I'll get stuff set up out there!"
A few minutes later Wilbur came to the living room from Niki's bedroom in comfier and drier clothing. He sat down next to Niki who had put the pancakes, bacon, lemonade, and coffee in the coffee table, along with a few plates, a mug, and a glass.
"Awww thank you so much Niki."
He kissed the blonde's forehead, as he sat down, wrapping a blanket around him and Niki.
Niki clicked the remote to turn on the tv and went into Netflix.
"What do you want to watch?"
"Oh, oh, let watch Riverdale! I hear it sucks!"
Niki grinned. "I hear the same things."
They then binged Riverdale for the next few hours because they had become addicted. It still sucked though. They also ate breakfast and cuddled but that doesn't matter as much.
