"Jaha? What do you want him for?" Kane interrupts.

"Jus drein jus daun. Blood must have blood. He assassinated my father, he must die." She declares sharply, revenge radiating powerfully in her voice.

"Jaha is serving his sentence, that's enough."

The commander stands up and walks toward us, passing Clarke, who glares at us furiously. "According to what I've been told, the man has caused too much trouble, it's not safe to let him live. And surely several more families will want justice."

"That is not justice, it is revenge." I declare.

"Of course not. If it was revenge, I would murder his son, Wells. I would keep him alive for eternity with the knowledge that his only family is dead, torturing him until he wishes he was dead. But I would never give it to him." Clarke has a maniacal look on her face. "So yeah, it's justice."

We sink into a tense silence, Clarke's shallow breathing the only thing audible. The commander watches us, analyzing our reaction. Even though I don't want to, I know she's right. Not to mention that we must carry out this alliance, or we will have problems in the future. I sigh and nod.

"Fine, we'll hand you over to Jaha." Clarke smirks madly and Heda nods, pleased.

"The execution will take place at sunset, followed by a celebration in honor of the beginning of what I hope will be a long, lasting and strong alliance. Now leave." She raises a hand in a gesture that makes it clear to us that we should not contradict her.

Kane and I left the tent in shock. We must witness a public execution. And from Clarke's face, it won't be pleasant at all. Well, for us. They sure enjoy it.

Clarke pov:

I go into the tent and take off my shirt. Lexa looks at me for a moment, before turning to her maps. Her sight returns when she realizes that I am not wearing as many clothes as when I entered. I raise an eyebrow and smirk. She denies and refocuses on her business as I head over to the bucket of water in our tent.

I have trained all day without rest and now I have to take a shower. Well, as much as I can with a bucket sitting on a chair. I must be presentable by tonight. I finish undressing and start rubbing my skin with the sponge. Lexa gets tired of all the noise and decides to help me.

She washed my hair, while I continued to wash my body. Between the two of us we finished in the blink of an eye. I dress in the armor that I will wear tonight. Lexa does it too, helping me and I helping her in the process. When finished, I took her shoulder pad and slowly placed it on her shoulder. I arrange the fabric and we focus on our hair.

She braid my hair and then I hers. Stealing kisses and caresses, humming the well-known song. Lexa has learned it and now her voice joins mine. When finished, we carefully placed the war paint on our faces. As always, mine has Azgeda's characteristic white line. I carefully place the Heda symbol on her forehead and we are ready.

We put our weapons in their respective places and I go outside, when she stops me. "What happens?"

"I have something for you."

She enters the part of the store that serves as the bedroom. The furs are comfortable, but I miss our bed at Polis. On the wall my drawing stands out from all the brown and gray. The one I did on the terrace on our last date. Lexa hung it there, claiming that it is a work of art to admire and always wants to observe it before sleeping.

The painting consists of a beautiful sunset. At the bottom of the painting you can see the bonfire on the terrace. But the most beautiful thing that the painting has, in my opinion, is the beautiful woman that is portrayed in it. The Lexa in the drawing smiles attentively at me, well where I would be sitting. I really don't think I have captured all of her essence, although my girlfriend says it is the most beautiful drawing she has ever seen.
