"Well, that's your business. As for me, I am taken."

"Pele. Miss taken. We that don't have boyfriends are still searching sha."

"Happy searching," Lola said to her friend as she took a bite from her sausage.

"Guess what?"

"Just say whatever you want to say IB," Lola said, bored.

"He is coming over."

Lola jerked her head up and immediately looked around them. A slender guy in blue jeans and a white shirt was heading in their direction. He looked a bit nervous. Then she turned back to Ibukun.

"Like seriously, is that the kind of guy you are into now?"Lola asked.

Ibukun chuckled. "Of course not. But he is quite adorable. And trust me, he is loaded and he will know how to take care of a woman. You know what I mean." Lola just chuckled.

"Whatever." She muttered rolling her eyes while Ibukun smirked.

"Hi, ladies." A masculine voice said beside them and they both looked up at the man.

"Hi." The two ladies chorused.

"Seen you guys while you come in. You're gorgeous." He grinned revealing his front teeth. He wasn't that bad. Lola thought. "I'm Marcus." He said with a smile on his face. He was looking at Ibukun and at the same time throwing a glance at Lola. She understood he wanted to talk to her friend alone.

"Nice meeting you Marcus. I will leave you guys to chat." Lola said to the man and his eyes seem grateful.

"And you too." Lola mouthed something to her friend and she left them.

She looked for another table to sit at and she ordered another ice cream since she left the one they bought on the table with Ibukun.

And she made herself busy by watching videos on TikTok while waiting for her friend.

It's been almost twenty minutes since she left Ibukun with Marcus and they had been immense in a conversation ever since. Ibukun even seemed more serious than she thought her to be and she was getting tired of sitting alone while around her are intimidating couples. It was times like that that she miss her boyfriend.

It's been a few days since she saw him and he had been busy with work. The past few days had been hectic for him. He goes to work early and returns late. Sometimes he doesn't call her when he gets home because he was too exhausted to do so.

She understands that he can't be available all the time. He have companies to run and that was the source of his money. And she understood that better.

She find herself going to her contact and she decided to call him. She had never called him while at work. But she suddenly misses him and she feels like talking to him. Even if it was for a few minutes. She wanted to hear his voice. But she wasn't sure he will answer. He had told her that he hardly interfere work with his personal affairs while in his office. And since he was busy with his new contract and the proposal for the contract he wants to get, she thought it might not be the best time to do so. What she doesn't want to be is a disturbance and distraction from his work.

So, she went back to her TikTok account and the first video she saw was the one with couples. They were so sweet to watch and that got to her. And she decided to try her luck. She can never tell if he has the same thought. And she might be lucky. Was her thought.

So, she carried out what was on her mind. Lucky for her, his phone rang, and not long after he answered the call.
