"And that is what matters." Dozie and Adam said at the same time, matter of factly.

"What if she didn't win?" Demilade asked them with a scowl.

"She did," Bayo said affirmatively.

Demilade turned toward Bayo and glared at him. But he didn't say anything but turned back to Lola.

"I'm alright, Demmy. You don't have to be mad at your friends." Lola whispered to her boyfriend. "I'm glad Reed didn't interfere. It will look like he is protecting me. I handled her well. And trust the girl you have." She smirked.

Demilade chuckled lightly, pulling her closer.

"Fine. I was just concerned... and mad that she touch you."

"I know. And that's sweet." She grinned before pecking him on the cheeks. "You should apologize to your friends."

Demilade heaved a sigh and faced his friends who were staring at the both of them. "I'm sorry. I apologize. I shouldn't have acted that way." He apologized to his friend.

"It's nothing." Fareed waved it off and he went back to his seat.

"We understand your concern," Adam said as he plays with the braid of the lady sitting beside him.

"Yeah." Dewale agreed.

"Thanks for looking out for them. Thank you." He appreciated

"What are friends for?" Fareed asked. "Don't let anyone deceive you, Lola, you are hot." He winked at Lola Demilade and threw him a glare while he just smirked.

"Thanks." She appreciated it with a smile. And everyone went back to what they were doing.

"I'm sorry she did that to you because of me." He apologized to his girlfriend, looking downcast.

"C'mon, it's not your fault." She patted his legs, assuring him.

"But I still can't help it. I'm sorry." She just pecks him on his temple.

"I wouldn't too." Charles who had been listening to them spoke up. They turned in his direction. "But gratefully, Lola dealt with the slut on her own," Charles said sounding so proud. He for one had never liked Angela for any reason. And he was glad about what Lola did to her which gives him more reason to like her.

"You've got one hell of a girl Demmy." One of the guys in the corner said to Demilade. He nodded appreciatively in his direction.

"Thanks, guys for the compliment." Lola appreciated it sincerely. She was glad that they didn't see her as unruly or uncultured causing a scene in the hall with her boyfriend's ex. Instead, they seem to like what she did. And she was grateful for that.

"You're really worth it Lola," Helen said with a grin.

"Thank you." She said to Helen. "Thanks for fighting for me. That was adorable." She whispered into her boyfriend's ear. His lips spread into a small smile.

"Anything for you sunshine." He answered and he pulled her much closer to his side, hand not leaving her waist and she leaned her head on his shoulder.

"Dear God, I need a girlfriend," Fareed said out of the blue and all eyes went to him. "What?" He queried. "Can't I ask for my wish?" And they all chuckled, shaking their head at him.

"...do you know that guy has been staring our way since we got here?" Ibukun said to her friend.

"What guy?" Lola asked looking around the restaurant they sat in.

"C'mon Lola, do you want him to know we've noticed him? It's might scare him away." Ibukun said.
