junyeon was sat in her studio with jay and jake, reacting to other idols' songs, much like chan. jake had recommended nct's 'beautiful', and fans were loving it.

junyeon wouldn't stop complimenting them, and while jake was joining in with her, fans had noticed jay was just sat there, occasionally tugging on junyeon's hoodie. it was only when they video had ended did they realize how quiet jay was being, and when they made eye contact it was pretty clear from the slight glare he was aiming at the screen and the pout he wore that the younger was jealous.

junyeon surprised many people including the members during this episode. before she became a trainee junyeon actually spent a lot of time ice skating, and would even go to the one in seoul if she ever had time. as the second oldest, she saw it as her duty to help teach the other members, and throughout the episode she put most of her focus on jay, staying by his side and cheering for him when he was able to skate on his own.
one moment that specifically stuck out was when jay tripped up, and accidentally brought junyeon down with him as she skated past him. she ended up landing on his back, and just lay there, refusing to get up and holding down the struggling american. jungwon saw that as an opportunity to annoy jay and lay on top of her, and the best friends were just laughing at his misfortune

"what is my favourite song"
as soon as junyeon asked the question, all of the boys' hands flew up, shouting their names. she pointed at ni-ki, wanting to finally give the maknae points.
"ateez sunbaenim's hala hala"
"correct"
immediately all the boys cheered except one, and junyeon went around marking their papers, however she stopped at jay. she looked at him then glanced up at the staff before hitting his head lightly.
"this idiot wrote 'anything that's got my voice in it because you love me'"
"IT'S TRUE!"

" light night practice " - where : i-land behind clip
junyeon was intimidated by the talent of the boys she was surrounded by, and so to make herself feel better before their performance of into the i-land, junyeon would secretly get up in the middle of the night, and thinking no one else knew she would sneak into one of the smaller practice rooms and dance until it was early time for the others to wake up, and would proceed into the kitchen and pretend like she'd just woken up early.
what she wasn't aware of was that jay knew of sneaking around, and after two nights of it he followed her, watching from the door as she wore herself out. the camera caught all of this, and fans soon began hoping they would debut together as they watched him knock on the door quietly, walking in and setting a bottle of water next to her. jay didn't say anything for a long time, simply going up to her and practicing with her. it wasn't until she left did her speak up, taking hold of her shoulder and whispering a "you're doing great, take care of yourself", before walking into their room
